Prince Whiskers Posted January 12, 2008 at 08:45 AM Posted January 12, 2008 at 08:45 AM I'll split mine into 3:1. Most Hated2. Most Embarrassing3. Most Loved Most Hated - In the state university where I studied, every male student was compelled to undergo a year of basic military training. In connection with this, I had to endure certain things:1. Every Sunday, we would train for 5 hours. From 7am to 12 noon or from 1pm to 6pm. Never mind the repetitive and tiring drills bec. what I really despised was having to end emitting an odor that was jointly caused by heavy sweating, prolonged exposure to the sun and crawling on the unkempt grass.2. Every Sunday, I would pray for heavy rain but if all the sky could give was a light shower, I'd be in a foul mood bec. the officers didn't give a squirrels's a$$ if a poor trainee developed a cold or worse, a soggy underwear.3. What would be a military training be without having to do push-ups, right? Well, sometimes, the sadistic officers would command us to a paved area and the scorching heat absorbed by the pavement would give my hands bothersome blisters. Most Embarrassing - I was late for a class and sprinting up a flight of stairs. What was stupid on my part was that I forgot the weather that day was bad and the stairs were wet. Well, I tripped like a clumsy idiot and it felt like my wrists and hands were almost broken in my *somewhat* successful attempt to prevent my face from getting hit. There were 3 girls who saw me and as I got up and walked as if nothing happened, I was half-mad and half-ashamed to catch a glimpse of them looking utterly bewildered. Ah well, at least they didn't laugh. Most Loved - Occasionally, I'd earn earn an exemption from a brain-busting final exam. Ah, the perks of being a part-time nerd! Prince Whiskers Posted January 12, 2008 at 09:11 AM Author Posted January 12, 2008 at 09:11 AM Manuel was a bad, bad boy for passing up on the rehearsals and the graduation ceremony itself. But then, I was so burned out at the end of my senior year that I just wanted to be somewhere else. Quote http://cdn.webecoist.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/10/modern-pet-solo-blown-glass.jpg

angel_christ Posted January 24, 2008 at 04:30 AM Posted January 24, 2008 at 04:30 AM I'm a freshman right now. But in May I'll be a sophomore. So I think there'll be more to come. Most hated: In this term, we've got the legendary (in an extremely bad reputation) professor. Goes by the name of CSJ (her initials). She's about 50+ and single. Teach us C++ programming this term and we still got her next term on Assembly Language as well. She's the most foul professor I've ever met. She hates girls and love guys (Weird, isn't it?). She called us in 1-by-1 to check on our mid-term exam. Noticeably, she scolded every girl that did wrong and cheer up guys who did likewise. My friend (girl) got a score of 1.5 from 20 on her exam and CSJ told her to withdraw the subject, whereas another friend (guy) got a score of 0, she told him to be more diligent and keep up! And I've heard from people from higher year, that on the practical exam lab. Anyone who did wrong got hit in the back and noticeably (again) she hit girls harder than boys! We all hated her!!! Most embarassing: Nope, not yet. Most loved: I've got an A on Fundamental of Computer Science last term. The only person who got A in the section!!! Whoopeeeeee!!!! Black Kitten Posted January 27, 2008 at 02:02 PM Posted January 27, 2008 at 02:02 PM 1. Most Hated- i had to drop a subject because of the prof! i hate him and he's sooo boring! 2. Most Embarrassing- When i & my band performed at the school's foundation day 2005, we performed ODE TO MY FAMILY by the cranberries, the dog near me barked at me throughout the whole song! 3. Most Loved- I had my first boyfriend when i was in 2nd year college. Quote
neilg Posted January 27, 2008 at 10:08 PM Posted January 27, 2008 at 10:08 PM Oh God, I really miss uni - I really do. Now, it's the world of real work, and two-day weekends. My Most Hated moment of university - my tutor didn't like me, for whatever reason. I was the youngest on my degree course by a long way - I was 21, and the second youngest was 33! I was able to do the same work with comparative ease, and my tutor really did everything he could to make me fail. He would pass the others with really good marks, and would try to find as many tiny faults in my work as he could in order to mark me down. My Most Embarrassing moment - I spelled my name wrong in an exam. I have four letters in my name, and I missed one of them out! My Most Loved moment - sitting on the beach with my friends at night, until it got light - then having breakfast and going to my 9am lectures with no sleep! Quote

scorp82 Posted January 29, 2008 at 10:33 PM Posted January 29, 2008 at 10:33 PM Well, college has been quite the experience... 1. Most Hated Moment - There were times of uncertainty and frustration! There were times I thought I was not cut out for college! I always hated uncooperative team members when we had to do team assignments and some people never did anything! I hated my math courses... I have always been bad at math and ended up dropping the class more than once! But I changed schools, took math once again, and I earned A's! 2. Most Embarrassing Moment - Right now, I cannot recall an embarrassing moment... Well, maybe I can... One time we had to do a team presentation. My group consisted of three girls and myself. Two of the girls were not prepared at all. The teacher was not pleased and kept asking them questions about the subject knowing they were not prepared to answer accordingly. For some reason, I kept breaking into laughter in front of the entire class and boy did I have to keep looking away into thin air... 3. Most Loved Moment - Well, I have met some very neat and nice people... Just spending time with classmates and friends and having a good time was great! And being a graduate student has been a very rewarding experience. I am enjoying being a graduate student even more than being an undergrad! Quote
