The Celine look then and now

I was going through some old videos and pictures in my collection of Celine memorabilia and I couldn't help but notice how much she has changed throughout the years, especially her look and the way she dresses. I mean don't get me wrong, I adore the way she looks now, I think she looks better then ever but I just find it strang how she dresses sexier now oppose to the way she did in her 20's and early 30's. I read one of the old articles I have from 1998 that during her 20's Celine said she didn't like to dress too sexy because she thought Rene, being an older guy, would get jealous of young guys looking/lusting at her. These days she dresses as sexy as she wants as often as she wants. Doesn't seem to be worried about whether Rene is jealous or not. Maybe she's liking the admiring glances. Maybe she's tired of hiding her light under Rene's bushel. Time to start "Taking Chances" in more ways than one.

 

I have been saying it for the past year almost, and not that I am wishing anything bad on either of them, but I can't help but notice that Celine and Rene's relationship seems very different. The chemistry that was once there seems to be gone. When they kiss it lacks the passion they once had, it's like Celine is kissing her father, not husband. I think that maybe Celine is tired of Rene's ways (whether is be the way he puts her career before anything, or the way he is never home, which she said in a recent article.), or maybe the age different finally caught up, after all he will be 66 this month. No matter what happens, I just want Celine to be happy in her personal life as well as professional. She deserves to be happy and to do as she pleases.

On the topic of the clothes...I think she wanted to dress in a classy way back in her 20s, because she was still proving herself. There were some times (like on the Arsenio show) that she did look really sexy. But for the most part, she kept everything covered.

 

And, yeah, Celine has gone thru major image changes. I think she looks the best now than she ever has. On that Tina Turner video! OMG! Compare that to the Eurovision performance in 88. BIG CHANGE.

Year change, fashion change,And also the way people wear clothes now we're much revealing yet sexy and glamorous. So the constant is change to this world. Maybe Celine do follow the new trend now that's why, she dresses more great now. But for me the best thing to describe her when she's wearing cool it is the term "ELEGANT"

I think she has always looked amazing but i think she is just moving with the times. i agree one word to descrive her dress sense would be elegant.

as for the way Celine looks she looks better then ever. She looks much more complete and beautiful! she dresses better and has changed the way she dresses. Shes more modern in a way. Fashion has changed and shes following the new style which suits her perfectly. Why should she be covering up, age doesn't matter when ur as happy and sexy as Celine.

 

as for the Rene issue there love hasn't changed a bit. They still love each other like always. i think Celine's looks can be deceiving becuz she looks more glamorous now. But underneath it all shes exactly the same Celine!...just look at the way they hold each other and look at each other during the taking chances and delles recording sessions.

i loved celine wear when she just arrived at red carpet at The oscar 2007. she looks so elegant.....with the woooaahhhh jewelry... great job celine....

i think her best look was during the FIY era. the photoshoot of the cd, the tour, videos, incredible! and also the cbs special when she's promoting ATW... ADOS. she's so pretty. and i hate to say this, her worst look is the TC era (now). though she looks ok on TC video, but i hate her hair now. it makes her look more mature and thin. hope she'll gain more weight and cut her hair and bring back the FIY hair before going on tour. i love that so much.. she looks so elegant and absolutely stunning during that era...
