I think it would be better if we all buy Celine Dion's "D'elles" album, "Taking Chances" album and "Live In Las Vegas - A New Day" DVD twice. I don't think it's crazy to buy 2 copies for each right?

Before, I bought about 4 copies of "Falling Into You" but not at the same time though. And I gave it to my friends. I also bought some of her albums twice and give it to my friends or give the old ones so I can have the new one. :xmas_happy:

I already bought 2 copies of her Taking Chances album. I don't have D'elles yet 'cos it's not available in my place. I already bought the DVD and I'm gonna buy one more to my x-girlfriend.

Well, I'm sure there's someone who will be very thankful to have it.And I think it's better if we give it those who do not or just like Celine a little. Well, if you're gonna give it to a true Celine Dion fan, they will not buy a copy for their own anymore. So, I suggest you give it to those who kinda like her a bit ot doesn't know her or those who would take it.

I bought 2 other copies from Taking Chances as a b-day present.... and i bought the CD-DVD, Japanese and the wallmart edition for myself.... happy?? :whistling:

Why buy 2 if 1 is enough? Boosting sales is not a fan's job.

First all the albums, then dvd's, then books, and well there's lots of collectable stuff before buying a repeated cd.

I totally agree with you! There are so many other stuffs to buy which some (including Me) of the fans doesn't have yet!

+ Now that Sony got crazy with bombing us with colector's editions ( I personaly don't get this idea of Sony?!? Now that Celine has NEW studio album & NEW DVD & NEW world tour out, all of them after soo many years they start to releasing those special editions one by another which by the way are not so special, with exception of packaging which sucks because it damages a CD.

+ Many of the fans will want to see/hear Celine live & in person, god knows when if ever next tour will be!!! So that will affect in our wallets quite a lot. Some will not be present just on one single concert. The albums will be available in stores for years (I hope), but the opportunity to see/hear Celine live is INVALUABLE and not something you would get any time you want!

The point is that I don't want 50 Celine albums released in 1 year and then 5 years NOTHING, ZERO, DESERT, NO WORD ABOUT CELINE!!! :xmas_ph34r:

And the idea of buying more same albums?! :sofunny: :wtf: No way! The way Sony treats Celine nowadays?! No way!

Albums here in Europe are very expensive and the idea to give an album as a gift to someone you don't realy know if he/she adores Celine is pure madness!!! At the end this album will be in some corner full of dust. What a waste of money on people who don't respect you and your gift! :xmaswhistling:

I bought myself the TC CD/DVD, I got my mom the CD version, and I bought my sister the album on iTunes. There's only so much a few fans can do to get her sales up.

I do keep my mind on my work... I did buy three copies of Celine's Taking Chances album and two copies of her Live In Las Vegas - A New Day DVD... I know that it may not help the sales themselves, but I'm quite sure that Celine's won some more fans... :xmaswhistling:

it's a waste of money actually. though right now, i have 2 copies of all her english releases. 1 for the car, and 1 for my room. i treasure my cds so much. i hold the disc very carefully and slowly, and thank God my cds are all in brand new condition. but i already bought 7 copies of taking chances. because you know why? i can't seem to find a sealed TC cd that has no single scratch on the cd itself. all of the cds i bought has some scratches even when you opened it for the 1st time, and its not good. im tired of buying taking chances now. because i'm sure, all the cds have scratches too. what an awful packaging!!! i have now 3 copies of tc with me. 1 is what i am playing all the time, the other 1 is in the car, and the last 1 is still sealed and i have no plans of opening it. all deluxe edition.

When i was in school, me and my sis use to buy 2 copies of celine's album, one copy was for us, the other was for my french teacher, as bday and xmas gifts.

i dunno if anyone remembers, cdifc gave a calendar one year, a white one, close up of celines face... my french teacher put it up in her room, as well as a celine poster from the top of the pops mag with the pour que tu m'aimes encore lyrics..

i wouldnt do it to boost sales as quite rightly thats not my job and i wouldnt have any affect on it really, but its nice to try and encourage more people to listen to her work.

I think its ridiculous! personally i dont have much money.. and i mean for christmas i got alot of celine stuff and i was chuffed! because im in school i dont have a job except babysitting which is like £10 every 2 weeks rubbish i know! and today i went to hmv and bought the 3 album set where it is ANDHC, LTAL, and FIY together because i lost my LTAL iknow i and i thought ahhh why not treat myself and it looked cool so i got it!! but im not gonna waste money and buy 3 copies when im only gonna use one, im not rich... plus i buy lots of celine songs on itunes probably about 3 of one song sometimes as i forget i bought it last week!! so thats enough for me, i still have 100's of celine things to buy, new perfumes etc.. books and the concert things that im defo gonna buy so i must safe up!! sony dont care about celine as we all know, as far as there concerned she has been around too long and there ready for fresh meat!! which is like shuving a knife in my eye when i read it!!

I MEAN WHAT ARE THEY CHATTIN??! but hey thats them and i already boost her sales enough! i dont have the money or repsonsibilitie to buy every album of hers twice never mind 4/5 times, im sorry thats the way it is... and im sure celine wouldnt want us to do that either she is already more than grateful of what we do for her!!

That is insane I would never do that I only buy one of her cds and that's it. Plus I would never do that just boost sales of the c.d. I mean I have better things to do than to go out and buy the same cd twice or 4-5 times just to boost sales of the c.d besides I am busy with other stuff as well and I'm saving money up for real things that coast allot and help shape my future as well. But I must admit it is pretty dumb what sony is doing to Celine though. :yes:

Tips on how to avoid scratches on the TCH CD:

1. Unglue with care the top and left-side edges of the CD pocket.

2. Buy a blank CD and use its jewel case to store the TCH CD.

3. To heck with the blank CD.

bad news is there are no french albums here. in the philippines. If i see one, I'll buy 2 copies right away.

hahaha i didnt know u posted it here! :flowers: but yeah, i bought 8 copies and i only own 3 of those now. the other 5 was a xmas present for my mom and aunts who adores her so much. but i didnt gave them the sealed cd. i used them, for like 2x before i give it to them. :sofunny: now i own 3 regular versions (because i think the deluxe edition is useless at this point, as we already have the full dvd). 1 cd is in our car, the other 1 is on a regular rotation in my room, and the last 1 is still sealed and im not gonna open that 1 until the re-release so that i always have her album BRAND NEW AND SEALED. :clap: am i nuts? yeah! but it works! just for my girl... :yes:
