Thecolourofmylove Posted December 27, 2007 at 10:17 PM Posted December 27, 2007 at 10:17 PM I notice on US shows like The View and Today that she sometimes gives formulaic pre-written or rehearsed answers about her life, son, and career. My question is : Does she give more in-depth interviews when she's speaking French? Did those interviews include better questions and answers than the english ones? I'm talking about during her recent 'Taking Chances' promotional tour. It would be great if anyone who speaks French and has some extra time would transcribe some of the interesting things she has said. thatgirlmeghan Posted December 27, 2007 at 11:13 PM Posted December 27, 2007 at 11:13 PM I agree that she has a strong tendency to answer questions the same way a lot. However, I think the blame should fall on the interviewers for asking her the same stupid questions over and over again. If you watch the ETalk Interview from CTV (it's in the multimedia section of the forum), you'll see a much better interview than the ones on the view and such. I'm usually disappointed with the interviews on the shows like the View. The only person I can think of in the US who interviews Celine well is Oprah and that's probably because they are friends. Then again, she was doing a promotional tour...or a PRESS JUNKET. No wonder she has looked so tired. I'll bet she's glad to be rehearsing now! Quote

I thought that I was the onl one who thought the same thing. Its true, when they interview her they ask the same thing that we already know, but I don't know why. thatgirlmeghan Posted December 28, 2007 at 03:45 AM Posted December 28, 2007 at 03:45 AM Maybe it's because most of the viewers will not have watched all the other interviews she gave like we all do! LOL. Yep. Maybe that is it! Quote
Alex_Incognito Posted December 28, 2007 at 03:52 AM Posted December 28, 2007 at 03:52 AM I think her french interviews are superior, but their questions are always more interesting. I think Celine's grasp of English is very, very, very good. Quote "People pay 20-25 dollars to see you."- Céline Dion, 1990
stevethefan Posted December 28, 2007 at 03:53 AM Posted December 28, 2007 at 03:53 AM Yeah sometimes I've noticed she will give the same kind of "prepared' sounding answers in some interviews but i think that's just because she is doing a lot of interviews, the time is very short on most of these shows, and it's really no different than with any other celebrity. The better interviews are when she has a one-on-one interview that goes on for more than five minutes, like the recent CTV interview someone mentioned. Quote
newyorksnl15 Posted December 28, 2007 at 08:55 AM Posted December 28, 2007 at 08:55 AM the reporters seems to always ask the same question, and how else would she answer them all differently? Quote

I think Celine's grasp of English is very, very, very good.I agree. In French she does sometimes answer the same questions all the time (especially in shows such as Fan De etc...) but she also talks about things that she doesn't mention in English interviews. A silly example is her pets... I don't think she has ever mentioned them in an English interview. I really like the questions that people like Michel Drucker ask her. He has known her forever so instead of asking "stupid" questions (I mean the obvious questions of which every fan knows the answer!), he goes more more in-depth... Fanny! Posted December 28, 2007 at 10:00 AM Posted December 28, 2007 at 10:00 AM (edited) the reporters seems to always ask the same question, and how else would she answer them all differently?I just don't get why there are still people who ask her questions such as "so you come from a family of 14 children?" and then she has to explain that she's the last one, the mistake of the family.. for like 15 minutes. We know all of that! Edited December 28, 2007 at 10:01 AM by Faline Quote LasVegas2011 by The Red Heads Official Program now available! http://i29.tinypic.com/311km1d.jpg THE RED HEADS
