There is an interview with Larry King where it's implied but she never specifically says it. I don't remember hearing or reading a sound statement on that topic. Quote

So she was probably 13 or 14, maybe older. They weren't really boyfriend and girlfriend exactly. She only kissed him that one time. But I do recall a certain hockey player she may have dated, but that was also brief. Obviously the third time is the charm. Besides she loved Rene from the very beginning...before she even knew it was so! Quote
