American Idol season 7

anyone excited for it? I am even though to me, the seasons after season 4 weren't very good. It's just that it'll give me something to do once the Final Rounds start. I'll get the chance to be on Idol Tonight, American Idon Extra, and also a few live shows again. Last year two of my biggest AI related highlights was seeing Celine Dion live at the taping for Idol Gives Back, and also being on Idol Tonight during the first day of the Finale in the segment where my favorite finalist, Anthony Fedorov was being interviewed. I was the first person to cheer for him. =).

And this year, Anthony's girlfriend is rumored to be in the top 50 so far. I really do hope if it's true, she'll make it to the final round. Then I'll have someone to root for, and I'm sure I would be able to see more of Anthony in person as well =D

I love watching American Idol, its just a great show ^_^

Last year was the best because of Celine's appearance :wub:

yep I was so happy to actually see that performance live. I screamed so hard I lost my voice. Too bad I didn't look like Paula Abdul from the back or else I could have gotten a front row center stage seat there. =(. Oh well. Being in that same room and getting to see her perform live for free and sitting close enough to see her clearly was good enough for me.

I saw on t.v that the show will be broadcasted on January, not sure of the date yet. :thumbsup2:

I've yet to watch it, and probably will not in Season 7. There is just something that is off putting about it, to me.

I think American Idol has been producing some great stars - Like Katharine Mcphee, and Jordin Sparks. But it is kinda getting tiresome. Whats up with Paula Abdul these days?

Elliot was season 5 with Taylor Hicks as the winner. Season 4 was when Carrie Underwood won, and the season that my all time favorite finalist, Anthony Fedorov was in

Anthony Fedorov is one of my favourites to. I am still waiting for an album by him! He sang good songs every week

But my favourite season is still the third season, With George Huff, Jennifer Hudson, Fantasia etc.

I don't really watch AI but I own albums from many contestants. Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, Bo Bice, Clay Aiken, Kimberley Locke, Diana Degarmo, DAUGHTRY. I bought Katherine's CD but I didn't care to much for it.

Anthony Fedorov is one of my favourites to. I am still waiting for an album by him! He sang good songs every week But my favourite season is still the third season, With George Huff, Jennifer Hudson, Fantasia etc.

yea all of Anthony's fans are waiting for his album. I just feel so bad for the season 4 contestants. Aside from Carrie Underwood and Bo Bice, no other contestant has an album out even though there's so many talented contestants. And now look what happened with Jessica Sierra (10th place on season 4)...she's having all these legal troubles and jailed twice. What a shame to waste such great talent. Seems like so many of the finalists from other seasons already have albums...even if they came in lower than Anthony did.

However I'm also a dedicated member of Anthony's fanclub, and he posts in his forum from time to time. He's at least recording right now, he spent a couple of months performing on Broadway in the summer, he's sung the National Anthem for professional sporting events various numbers of time, and he held his first solo concert in September in his hometown of Philly. He sang a total of 13 songs...most of them covers (including Celine Dion's "That's the Way it is", as well a few original songs too. Two of my favorite songs he sang are ones he wrote for his brother who passed away from Cancer last September. When he sang them, you can really feel his emotion.

I used to love Paula abdul back in the day, Spellbound is still a fantastic album, but she's gone all nutz. And i notice she is drunk or stoned half the time she is one.

I really loved Anthony when he sang 'I've Got You' thats a great song, and he did Celine too! 'I Surrender' which was fantastic.

I also really love Jim Verraros from season one. Anyone remember him? He has a solo album called 'Rollercoaster' and he is currentley working on his second album which will be released next year

Well it started last night! I auditioned in Philly! I was actually sitting in the section on the right of where Ryan first is shown It was an interesting experience but after 3 times, I don`t think I`ll be doing it again.

Anyway, the show was good! I was getting so sick of seeing joke acts...I wanted to see some people with real talent! I cried my face off with Temptress...I wanted so much for her to be good

I know, that was really sad.

That girl with the glitter on her face... Well vocally she kind of surprised me, but god was she a nutjob!! Best act of the night though was definietly that guy who sang that song about god or moses or something. I can't remember but Randy and Paula had to hide because they were laughing so hard.

Yeah, I saw her performance and I can't believe they didn't pick her :xmas_mad: , she had a fantastic voice. Lol, the one that made me laugh was the guy who had written a song for Paula, lol. :giggle:

see that didnt make me laugh at all! i thought that was really scary and creepy! i cant believe they even let him in that far, just for a good laugh. he was totally psychotic. i felt bad for paula.

I watched both the episodes and yep, it gave me a time to relax and de-stress from my exam worries. I found it unbelieving when the so-called Celine Dion fan auditioned.. the one who said she would sing "The Power of Love" but instead started singing "If you Asked Me To" :lol:

My fav so far is the farm-guy who sang the George Strait song and also the girl who could do multiple voice impersonations... let's see what happens next week

PS. I really felt bad for Temptress. She was a real sweet-heart though

I am loving american idol this year!

Leona Lewis & Kellie Pickler are supposed to be guests at some point so I am excited for that :wub:

&& I agree with you guys that they should have Celine on again.

Hmmm.... I think, Katharine is more successful than Jordin Sparks. And Sanjaya Malakar is the most talked about AI contestant.
