LD1977 Posted December 18, 2007 at 01:33 PM Posted December 18, 2007 at 01:33 PM The Vegas-era has come to an end and everyone is talking about Céline, of course. But I would like to put her team in the spotlights as well! I have no idea if they ever read topics on the forum, but they deserve a big thank you from all of us! For me, I was a little concerned when I first heard about Céline's plans for Vegas. About 60 dancers? OMG, I really was afraid it would be too much and I would not like it. I was there at the premiere and I have to say from day one the dancers really stole my heart. They were a perfect addition to all the songs. You could tell they did their jobs with all their heart and soul and I loved to see that. Besides that they always were very friendly and willing to have a chat with the fans after the show. During the show they also took care of the real fans, giving a wink here and there, making us feel at home! They are the best! Besides that they are cute too... For instance Loic, hmmmm! Too bad we won't be able to see them anymore! The same goes for the good old band (and the new members of the band). I was sad that they were not on stage the first time, and very happy they changed this later on. They are a big part of the show and deserve to be seen! In September I went to Vegas with my mum an some friends. We had t-shirts on with a text for Céline and the whole team and it was so nice, because at the end of I drove all night, we got a lot of attention from Elise, André and the others. Untill this day my mum still is talking about André and how nice he reacted. I think she really loves him! There were so many people working at this show behind the scenes, they all deserve a really big thank you. I remember one night I talked with a guy that did the lightning and he was so unbelievable kind to all of us! I have to say that all the people we met were very, very friendly and proud of their jobs. So, to make a long story short: lets make this a topic to thank all the other people that worked at this show, besides Céline. They deserve it! THANK YOU TO ALL OF YOU! Shesings2me Posted December 18, 2007 at 03:08 PM Posted December 18, 2007 at 03:08 PM (edited) I agree wholeheartedly with you. It is not a show unless everyone shows up to play their part, including everyone from the box office staff, the ushers & ticket takers...to Celine, the band, and the dancers. And please let's not forget the important people who take care of Celine behind the scenes like Colosseum security, her personal security staff/bodyguards & drivers, and let's not forget Rene, Rene-Charles, and all her other family members who take care of her heart and drive the passion that we hear in her beautiful singing. Due to other demands such as studying for my career and taking care of my children, I was not able to make it to Las Vegas until the beginning of this month. But because I am what you describe as a "real fan" I made the most of my time in and around the Colosseum and Caesar's spending time in the shop buying lots of things and dancing to Celine's music and making people smile. Before I left I had organized to meet some fans, one from South Korea and another from England. My partner was with me too and the four of us made a nice poster for Celine and got to wave to her at the garage. The security staff were very kind to us and let us stay right beside the gate and take pictures. Michael, one of her bodyguards, greeted us too and chatted for a minute. The next night we met Nick Skokos (director of Security) and he was amazingly kind, courteous, and very generous. And when we went inside, even though we were sitting 2nd Mezz, we were treated with kind words and big smiles. I made sure to have chats with the ushers and find out what being a part of the show had meant to them, and they told us about how long they've been with Celine, how kind and generous they felt she had been to them, the gifts they had received, the events that they were invited too, etc. So the magic of A New Day...went beyond the stage and the first few rows. It filled the hearts of so many people and so they showed that spirit to us through their actions and words. They were having fun at working so hard and I believe that is because Celine and Rene would have it no other way. Thank you to all involved with AND... because you gave us an experience we will never ever forget!! It was such a "BONNE SHOW" thanks to each and every one of you!! STAY WELL, T. remykyes Posted December 18, 2007 at 04:43 PM Posted December 18, 2007 at 04:43 PM (edited) I agree!!!! Having seen the show twice, once in March of 2005 and again in June of this year, everyone from the people at the box office to the ushers to the dancers and the band are so kind. When I met Michel Dion, he looked like he was in a hurry to get somewhere, but when he saw that I just wanted to take a pic with him, he kindly stopped and talked to me for about 5 minutes, took the picture, gave me a hug and he continued on through the casino. I just want to thank everyone from Celine to the dancers, the band, the technicians, the ushers, the people at the box office, ect. a very very big THANK YOU for not only acting professionally but giving me an experience that I will never forget! THANK YOU!!!!!!! Edited December 18, 2007 at 04:44 PM by remykyes Quote New Signature Coming Soon!
Celine's Rose Posted December 18, 2007 at 07:15 PM Posted December 18, 2007 at 07:15 PM I whole heartedly agree. Everyone who works for this is show is truly fantastic. I know this may sound corny, but Celine is right about everyone there becoming a family. Everyone is so kind, gracious and caring, from Celine and her crew to the housekeepers. I have throughly enjoyed working there and becoming an ever so small part of that family. Taken from the plack that Celine gave us all, "The curtain may have closed, but the memories will last a lifetime." Thank you Celine and AEG Live for giving me such a wonderful once in a lifetime opportunity. Casie Quote
ashleylovesceline Posted December 19, 2007 at 04:23 AM Posted December 19, 2007 at 04:23 AM (edited) Everyone involved with this show has been so generous and kind to me over the past five years. I could never thank them enough. I have become friends with many of them, they are not only so amazingly talented, but wonderful people as well. Everyone from the ushers, Colosseum managers, box office staff, dancers (Don, Deon, Kelby, Elijah... ), the musicians who I am so honored to have met, and the crew who work so hard behind the scenes, of course, Michel who is always so kind to the fans no matter what, he always stops to say hello. Such a gracious, and kind person. Priceless moments, that will never be replaced or forgotten. I traveled to see the show initially because I love Céline, now after ten shows, I am fans of every one of them because of their amazing talents. Thank you to everyone - it is not only this show that we will miss, it is all of the people involved who we know made it all happen. Edited December 19, 2007 at 04:26 AM by ashleylovesceline Quote
Celinenvegas Posted December 24, 2007 at 02:37 PM Posted December 24, 2007 at 02:37 PM Celine is so gracious, she thanked the cast & crew constantly all week. She knows it takes a lot of people to make that show great and it's a collaboration by all. They were all so great during the last week of shows, they worked hard and deserved the big party at Pure to celebrate. I would love to see pics from the Pure party. Quote ~J O E Y~

Elaine Posted January 1, 2008 at 10:24 PM Posted January 1, 2008 at 10:24 PM Ok, I got it. I have to be away from the Vegas section or else I'll never stop crying! I couldn't agree more with all that you said. I was amazed to see how kind and humble they can be. The dancers... OMG, how I love those dancers! They're the kindest people ever!! A big thank you for everyone who made it possible! You really deserve more than words can say! Quote http://img807.imageshack.us/img807/1352/opo3.jpg
