A New Day Review 12.14.07

 

Tonight our seats were ORCH 4 CC 408-410. They were great seats, center stage, couldn’t really ask for anything more! Celine was running VERY late again tonight, the show didn’t start until after 9pm just like on Wednesday night. However, one of the reasons for that was that Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes were in the audience and the crowd went crazy for about 10 minutes. People took pictures and he signed autographs. He waved to the audience a lot and he seemed to be a nice guy. He also seemed to enjoy the attention that he got. To me it was so weird to just be able to look back and see him laugh as the camera zoomed in on everybody!

 

Anyway, Celine started off the show sounding just as good as ever. I love ANDHC!!! Celine got a huge standing O after the song and then she when on to sing her other songs. I was a bit disappointed in the audience tonight. It was much better last night, there weren’t as many crazy fans in the concentrated area, but it was still good.

 

Celine gave a huge speech after TLYM in which she rambled and rambled, but it was cute. She told us how it was a very special night that Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes were in the audience and then the camera zoomed in on them. She said she was nervous to perform for them. She talked about how cute they were and how cute their daughter was and she made a funny face. She talked about Rene and how he was a gambler and that he mortgaged his house for her to make her first record, and she was very happy that he always takes chances! She also talked about doing the show for 5 years now and in the beginning how the critics said that the show would sink like the Titanic. She thanked the fans for making it so successful. She also thanked the singer, musicians, technicians, and dancers like she always does. Then she finally said to us after she was done “Let’s get this engine started!”

 

I’m Alive was great and we stood up the whole time, then she sang TC again and I just LOVE that song and Celine has been doing such a great job with it every night!! We also stood up for IDAN and some people were very angry about us standing up. I can’t believe that they would be so lame, it’s so frustrating. Apparently in another section some guy threw a beverage on this girl because she wouldn’t sit down, ahhhhhhhh it’s so crazy!

 

All the other songs were great but nothing to significant sticks out in my mind. She ended the show with The Christmas Song again. I think it’s kind of weird that it’s at the end, but it’s still nice to have it in the show. She got a big standing ovation at the end and then she gave the rose to the little girl in the front row (Diana’s daughter).

 

Only one more night to go, soooooooo sad. I really hope that they do some special things for the show tonight. If they don’t I’ll be really disappointed!

So great to hear about the show! I too will be dissapointed if they don't do anything out of the ordinary for the final show tonight. I am so hoping I get to hear the Xmas song live. I hope she doesn't make her usual canned speeches as if it's just another night. I'm really expecting a suprise! I'm so glad you go to see the show these last nights though, very cool!

I was really surprised there were some non-fans there on Friday. I heard one person ask their friend where Céline was from! How were they able to get tickets to easily?! I thought it was a bit unfair to those die-hard fans who were desperate to go, and no tickets were left.

 

I forgot how good the show was - last time I went, it was all a blur because of excitement and jetlag. This time, I remembered every single detail.

 

I was really upset I didn't recognize anyone! I looked around, and I couldn't recognize any faces from avatars! And I left my phone at home, so I couldn't get in touch with those I've spoken to.

 

Now, it's all over - even though Ms Dion is coming to the UK, it's not going to be the same. What do I do now? I've got nothing to look forward to! I feel lost!

i was there and i was seating in orch 3 row NN..

it was amazing... the audience was really good especially the front orch section.. after MHWGO's standing ovation we still standing listening to her speech!!! i got tears in my eyes....
