Prince Whiskers Posted December 13, 2007 at 09:18 AM Posted December 13, 2007 at 09:18 AM She's probably one of the few artists who don't leave personal messages in their websites. And can you conceive the thought of her being a regular guest on this forum? haha While the SCF high drama (lol) might jar her mind, she might pick up a few if not some useful ideas. Edwin Posted December 13, 2007 at 02:42 PM Posted December 13, 2007 at 02:42 PM I can't imagine she would have that kind of time. She does shoot short video posts every now for Team Celine though. After all of his concerts his fans will wait in the parking lot and he`ll sign autographs for all of them and talk to them for a while. I`m not so sure Celine would do that. I don`t think its because she`s not a nice person...I think maybe Renee feels like she would be mobbed. Which might be true. leenylover Posted December 13, 2007 at 08:02 PM Posted December 13, 2007 at 08:02 PM I think some of us forget just what a huge star she is. To us she seems like this talented crazy chick, who has a massive family and is gaga about her son and husband. But she is a huge global star too. She does have to be careful about being surrounded by fans, because there are some people who go to far, and Celine is "big" enough to get fans like that! I also think it would be true that she would have little time to go on a PC and chat with fans. She works alot! And when she is not working she is sharing her time out with her small immediate family and the rest of her huge family. The only reason I am online as much as I am is that I have nothing much better to do, I'm sure if I was a successful artist, not to mention successful business woman, the last thing I would want to do is spend all night surfing and in chat rooms! Though I know that there are artists that make time to show appreciation for their fans online, Mariah regularly records voice messages for her fan site. As for getting some kind of return for writing letters? I think it depends on your strategy, timing and content of letter. I wrote a letter to Celine when I was in Vegas. I had travelled all the way from England to see her, it was my first time seeing her concert, as her show near my home town was cancelled when Rene had cancer, and I wanted to let her know that we all love and admire her no matter what she decides to do with her career (at the time she had been heavily critisised for her short blonde hair and choice of songs for One Heart) When I saw her in concert it was close to her birthday and a few people wished her happy birthday and sang to her. She did not seem to be in the mood for celebrating and was almost sarcastic when she thanked us for reminding her it was her birthday, she was obviously fed up. She spent some time off sick not long after that, so was probably quite run-down too. I wrote a long letter to her explaining all of this and reassuring her that her fans loved her no matter what. That she may be another year older, but she was still graceful, elegant and had one the best bodies in the business! I hoped my letter would make a difference to her and while I was still in vegas, left the letter at Ceasars Box office with a small gift. I did not expect anything in return, except for hoping she would know that she had a die-hard fan in little ol' England! A couple of months later When I was back in England I received a signed stock photo from her saying "To Lisa, Love Celine xx..." I again hoped that this was confirmation that I had managed to cheer her up and that she knew that someone from across the world thought she was worth making all that effort for! Because she totally is! Love Lisaxxx Quote My List of Celine Dion stuff, PM me to trade!

Well to tell my story, that day I was thinking twice If I'll check my account on the Internet that day...then tomorrow morning I found out that Celine DID ONLINE yesterday that year!!!! On her website there's a note indicating that Celine did online that day. I don't know exactly the date that was. And when I did found out that morning,I was feelin' sick and regretting saying to myself that " I told you to check your account" But it's too late. Annalicious Posted December 16, 2007 at 01:54 AM Posted December 16, 2007 at 01:54 AM I have a story very similar to Lisa's - I gave her a letter and a gift at a concert I went to 9 years that I went up to the stage and personally put into her hands. I got a very nice letter back signed by her a couple of months later. If you're lucky enough to get her one-on-one in person she's incredibly accessible. I met her through an incredible coincidence last month when she was not being mobbed and Tal and I were the only people who went up to her and did not feel rushed at all from her end when talking to her, in fact, I rushed myself because I felt bad for taking up what seemed like so much of her time given who she is. She only ever moved to get up to leave after we said our goodbyes and walked off. It just takes being in the right place at the right time so don't give up hope, it is entirely possible to run into her just hanging out in a public place with no mob scene in sight! Quote

stevethefan Posted December 16, 2007 at 03:29 AM Posted December 16, 2007 at 03:29 AM It's hard to be a celebrity and try to live up to everyones expectations, but I think Celine does a great job with her fans. Obviously she only has so much time to do everything and she can't possibly sign every autograph or talk to everyone that comes up to her but she really tries her best to do what she can.
