:wub: Well, I received the box set edition of TAKING CHANCES today along with the AND DVD.

 

The box set: Is it worth it?: :innocent:

 

The box set (as pictured next to the AND DVD, for size) is pretty. The lace pattern is just printed on the box. On the back it lists the tracks of "Taking Chances", the tracks of the Bonus DVD (The AND Sneak peak and 4 songs) and says it includes "ENCHANTING" (.5 oz). It also reads "Special Package designed by Celine Dion".

 

The CD is different than all of the TC editions out there. The packaging is the way the US edition should be. It's not cheaply done. When you hold it, you see the cover picture on the front, and ONLY the back picture on the back. Then, like a DVD case, you pull the contents out of the right side.

 

The Enchanting sample is nothing special, especially if you're not in to wearing female scents! It does smell very pretty---so you can watch the DVD and feel like Celine's in the room, I guess! :msn-tongue:

 

The packaging is very long (see picture) and the CD is located on the right end, the DVD and "new" liner notes on the left. The liner notes says everything that any standard edition does, but it's written in black and white.

 

What's special about it is that you see EVERY PICTURE on a bigger card chunk in a gorgeous quality. It's very nice. :wub:

 

I would have preferred something more like the D'ELLES box set. But this is pretty nice, considering it's a US-made box set. Is it worth $35? Only you can answer that. But as a collector, I love it. For you hard core fans, you don't want to miss this one!

Hmm, I'm thinking of buying it myself now. If for nothing more, at least for better packaging.

It's great!! I'm for sure going to get it!!!! but as a male that's "not in to wearing female scents!" I would have preferred that instead of the perfume bottle the "Deluxe" edition was a FULL edition with the great packaging and the COMPLETE tracklist (+ Map To My Heart & The Reason I Go On).

 

Maybe an extra CD with the bonus tracks and some mixes as in the FITY & LTAL Tour Editions...the only question that comes into my mind is...Do you think they're going to release an Asian Tour Edition as in the old days? :hmm:

It looks gorgeous on my shelf! I suppose a bigger bottle would give you more bang for your buck. Too bad Celine doesn't make some more-masculine scented colognes. That would be cool. God knows who'd buy that!

Great box, but I'm not going to buy it, 'cause I have two copies of the cd already :rolleyes:

I have the D'elles box, but actually I prefer a BOOK as collectorsedition, like TLDH or ONCP, not a box.

I see it completely useless, not to mention the fact of including now on every special edition her parfum :sick: (what has to see that with her music to put that on a box?).

 

It would have been much better to have the Miracle or ONCP longbox format, including a book with many pictures, than this useless box that has nothing new for the fans :rolleyes:

I have been debating on wether to get it or not.

I probably will end up getting it in the end though because that's the way it is. ^_^

I'd only suggest it for fans that are collectors. The packaging is gorgeous, and worth it in my fandom world.

I am a collector too, but I have not só much money and have to choose what I buy from Celine and what not. I think this box is too expensive for me as I see what is in it. I have two cd's, I have also Enchanting two times so.. No, I didn't buy. If there were in the box some other things that I didn't have (like another DVD or something or a book, I think then I had buy it.

and don't worry i'll scan it later!!! but you need to wait til like after 18th jan...
