CELINE DION has denied rumours she is suffering from anorexia - insisting critics are just jealous of her slim figure.

 

 

The 39-year-old claims her enviable physique is a result of genetics, because it runs in her family.

 

She says, "I am not anorexic. It pisses people off that I am thin and I don't make any effort. I have been thin all my life. Nobody in my family is overweight."

Who the heck is calling Celine Dion anorexic? Oh please! She has been as thin as she is now since she came on the scene decades ago. Either way, she felt the need to defend herself and released the following statement:

 

“I am not anorexic. It pisses people off that I am thin and I don’t make any effort. I have been thin all my life. Nobody in my family is overweight.”

I just watch today again the Bonus DVD from "D'elles" and in the part of the photo-shoot immidiately I saw how much thin she is.

But, I don't Celine of course is a person annorexic. Just in the new DVD Trailer you can see her eating. :)

Do any of you know the dancer, Vera Ellen? She was the dancer/actress in White Christmas. Very pretty and sweet - but she suffered from anorexia, and she always covered her neck with material - since the anorexia caused premature aging. If you look at Celine's neck on Oprah, it really did look like there was some damage.

 

I'm not saying Celine's anorexic, but there are some signs.....

Not this topic again. And about Céline's throat aging - I know we're not use to notice these things but celebrities do age aswell. :thumbsup2:

i don't think she is anorexic i never have. she has always been that way.

In my opinion though, I really don't think she is anorexic. She was always tiny.

Celine is DEFINITELY NOT anorexic!!!! :angry:

And I know what I'm talking about. Honestly... I have always, like Celine,

been very thin, in fact the skinniest in my class and I'm not close to being anorexic.

This is almost awkward.

Celine is beautiful and hasn't got bones sticking out everywhere...

She must sue whoever claimed those things, I think that was too much! Poor Celine and her fmily for having to hear those things, it's just not fair. I mean, I know we don't really know what's behind close doors, but c'mon!

 

As far as I can tell, she's happy and of course we all have good and bad moments, but claiming she commited suicide!

 

Like I said, she should sue them!

GO Celine. I know the feeling as I'm a tiny person myself. Too many people like many accusations and I'm glad Celine stood up for herself! :)

the posting was taking from the artictle/interview from the guardian paper... the person never accused celine of being anorexic they were merely asking questions to set all the bad rumours straight about celine from celine herself.. all this stuff we have heard before and i dont think celine should sue.

oh hello............she's been doing a show in las vegas for 5 years dancing non stop for 5 days a week blah blah etc and so forth. of course she's going to look a wee bit on the lean side no matter how much she eats. if you watch her in that dvd released with her TC cd you can see her eating a huge plate of food. for heaven sakes i can't even eat a quarter of that :o . whatever :shrug:

Yeah, I think they are only jealous to Celine OR they can't think of anything to what kind of Humor they will going to throw to Celine? :hmm: Because she's in the big deal spotlight this days. :yes:

 

And she is right it is in the genes of her family and she is thin since then so what's new? :hmm:

Celine has a tall and slim figure type as far as I can see with high metabolism. She'll burn everything she's eaten into energy in a few hour. There's so many pics of her eating; ice-cream for one. Celine's definitely not an anorexic because I've got a cousin who's anorexic and she doesn't want to eat anything except chillis and garlics to make her even thinner. If Celine's really an anorexic, her appearance would look scary.... like my cousin...a walking skeleton. All I can see is Celine's a healthy person with muscles everywhere.

Oh and maybe they're jealous because Celine has Rene-Charles and appears to ahve a very good control of her weight, unlike other mothers. BECAUSE SHE'S A STAR!!! She have to look good!! Stop calling her anorexic!

Ok people, we all know that our sweet lady has a beautiful figure that has always been on the thin side, but that she's always been very healthy physically, mentally, and spritually. I understand that the journalist felt like clearing the air on certain rumours, but really...all he/she did was bring the subject up again and perhaps get ignorant people thinking it all over again. I believe it was a waste of Celine's time to ask about those old rumours really, but it seems she handled it well and with style as usual!!

p.s. Celine only shows signs of normal aging, including her neck. She'll be 40 very soon and looks absolutely fantastic. Have you not seen her in a bathing suit?? Anybody would kill to look that good!
