December 5th Show Review

This is my first post .. I just got back from vegas, saw celine on wed. night dec. 5 Hope you all are not jealous but this was the 4th time this year I have seen her. I am a real celine fanatic I can't get enough of her and that FABULOUS FANTASTIC show!!!! This show was different than the others this way.. she stopped after the 1st song and talked quite a bit to the audience..she said that everyone was starting to say their good-byes to each other and that it was sooo hard. She started to choke up and almost started to cry. she continued talking about how all the dancers etc are a family and she kept talking . She said they had taken almost a month off, and was so cute as she joked about being on so many TV shows. She said "Every time you turn on the TV there I was.. If you don't like me you then you would have a serious problem" Then she made that cute expression with her mouth where she purses her lips and sucks in her cheeks..So adorable.. Then she did a few more songs and then there was a big technical problem.. She started to sing and the all the music stopped.. Total Silence. she was such a pro and handled it beautifully.She instantly called out a command to the dancers to stay in their places or something to that effect. She seemed to know what had happened as she turned and said to Mego at the piano.." Mego , are you alright? She said there was a technical problem and then walked to the front of the stage, and started to talk again .. She said "We have been having many strange things happening since I returned from the break. I forgot the words to the song a few nights ago, and now this problem with the music...It must be a sign or something... But it is a good sign since the show will be extended little longer tonight." Then she must have been given a signal as she prepared to sing.. The music started again and she went right on.The other change was that right after Im Alive, she talked about her new album and said she wanted to do a song from it. A microphone on a stand was brought out and she sang Taking Chances beautifully! She sang it much better than on the CD as she did not sing in quite as deep a voice. I used powerful binoculars to watch her face and she NEVER lip-syncs. She was in great form and held many of the notes in her songs for a long, long time. She also did not sing If I Could as she has in the past. She was just amazing. I love her so much. I wish she would stay in Vegas.. so I could see her over and over again... Oh well, I have tickets to see her at Staples Center in Los Angeles next December. Its hard to wait a whole year to see wonderful Celine..Any one else see the Dec. 5 show and can write more about all that she said? It was wonderful to be there and to see her talk to her fans so much.

I saw the show Nov 29th, Dec 1st, Dec 2nd and tonight, Dec 7th. I would say that Dec 1st was the most amazing one (that is when she forgot the words TWICE!). Tonight's performance left me slightly dissappointed.

Thanks for the review. It`s going to be so great to hear her ad-libbing a bit more next week !!

That reminds me... I need to go and buy afew boxes of tissues.....

Her first night back, November 29th...she got all choked up and nearly cried as well...she gave the same speech pretty much and Taking Chances was amazing live.

 

No technical problems that night though...I was there, and loved every min of it...!

I was there, too. It was my first time seeing her live. I almost fainted. lol j/k. Anyway, we initially had nose bleed seats (2nd Mez.) and the person who was in charge of that section came to me and my bf and took us back out to the waiting lobby and asked us if wed like better seats and we said sure and he gave us tickets to Orchestra 4. I couldnt believe it! I dont think Ive ever been so lucky in my life. I will say that there is no bad seat in the place, I mean from where we were it was good and you could see the entire stage but when you get that close to her and the stage its even better. It was the best concert Ive ever been to, not only cause I saw my favorite singer but the whole show was amazing. She puts so much energy into it and you can tell everyone is having a good time. When they had that small techinical difficulty with the piano not starting, I barely noticed it and she handled it very gracefully. I loved how when the guy was apologizing and she said "what do you have to apologize for and dont be sorry". I just loved how she was so kind about it and when she stopped to sing Taking Chances and said she was changing things up cause after all it is *her* show, I thought it was so cute how she said that. Anyway, I had a great time! I cant wait to see her again when she goes on tour. Ive already got tickets. hehe:D

 

Oh, just out of curiosity..does anyone know who the person was that Celine gave roses to during the show?
