I think it's a GREAT one & Celine's performance is FANTASTIC! Even if you don't know what the lyrics say, her voice (especially at the last part where she's almost shouting & crying 'Donnez-moi') can make you feel all the fear, weakness & desperation of a person who's really tired by the modern way of life with no time & space for thoughts & feelings, only mechanical actions, all the same every day. It's sad but it's true - sometimes life turns us into robots. I love the song. I can really feel it and it makes me cry every time I listen to it. Well, honestly, I like all of Luc Plamondon's works.

I love the whole Des mots qui sonnent / Dion chante Plamondon album, and this song is no exception at all! She sounds so wonderful on this song. I believe there was a video made, or at least a psuedo video, correct? I wish more fans knew about Celine's earlier work.

They sound just "weird". I can't explain, but this album is quite uncommon.

Well it's kinda strange to me, but I do agree that the ending is better. This album sounds very strangely produced; Compared to the live performances I don't feel much emotion, and she sings very robotic, as is the musical arrangement.

Here is a capture from 'Metropolis'. On the site 'La voix d'or' I just saw that there was another live performance in Studio Libre or something but the quality is really bad.

I love this song the same as I love the entire album it comes from!!

 

Some of you may say this album or at least many songs there sound weird but for me they are just great, fresh, "others"...

These songs are telling some stories and they are not just all about love like most of Céline songs but they are talking about many different things in life...

 

Great lyrics and great vocal performances by our Céline!!!

 

But my fave song is still "Le blues du businessman", that's for siur.

It's definitely one of my favourite "lost" songs from the "Dion chante Plamondon" album.... I'm still holding out for the live version cut from the "Live a l'Olympia" CD...... Maybe one day we'll get a reissue with a DVD.... Fingers crossed.... ;-)

Why? Was this filmed? As for the song...it wasn't one of my favorites. Perhaps because I don't understand the lyrics but the music isn't my taste.

Yes, it was filmed! For many years I could find the VHS being listed on multiple Online music stores, including the MTV registry. And it did include "Oxygene". So, yes, it was supposed to come out, but it never did.
