I had no idea what she was singing when I first heard it but fell in love with it instantly. One of my all time FAVOURITES!! I love PQTME and the others, but this one gets me.

Yeah I love Live à Paris as well!!!! Best album / concert ever in my opinion.

´Les derniers seront les premiers´ is my favourite song, not just from that album, but in general.

1. Le Ballet - What a gorgeous song. Seductive but classy.

 

2. J'attendais - This is one proof that there's beauty in melancholy. The way Celine sings the title word is just emotionally sublime.

 

3. Je Crois Toi - A "mood" song with beautiful strings and of course, vocals.

 

4 . L'abandon - The laid-back beat is a charm and I like how Celine sounds playful but delicate. Her soft voice at the start of the song is amazing.

 

5. Je T'aime Encore - Lush guitar accompanying Celine's warm, stripped-down voice that superbly understates loneliness and longing.

 

6. Retiens-moi - Radiant, unassuming vocals and that funky guitar of Erick Benzi.

 

7. Je Cheche L'ombre - What a pure voice by Celine. Her "l'oooooombre" at the end has got to be one of her most emotional notes ever. And of course, the piano and Irish sound are just haunting.

 

8. Si J'etais Quelqu'un - I like how Celine subtly brings out the desperate tone of the verses and how she powerfully rides the pent-up passion of the rockish parts.

 

9. On S'est Aime A Cause - Unforgettable melody, emotional vocal riffs, soooo wonderful guitar.
