What should Celine record next?

I love the fact that Celine seems to enjoy a variety of different situations. It seems she's really had fun rocking out on "One Heart" and "Taking Chances". I also enjoyed "Miracle", a quieter album full of motherly tenderness, and I know how much that means to her too. Now that she's done some rock-n-roll-ish things, I would like to see Celine do an album of standards; not a compilation of those she's already recorded, like "All The Way" and Nature Boy. Don't get me wrong, I love most of what she's already recorded, but I'd like to hear MORE!! They could include one or two that she's already recorded, but let's make an album of NEW standards for her to record

1. That's Life

2. Stuck on You

3. Smile

4. I Love You for Sentimental Reasons

5. That's All I Ask of You

6. These Foolish Things Remind me of You

7. It Don't Mean a Thing if it Ain't Got that Swing

8. We're Not Too Young At All

9. Through the Eyes of Love

10. Strangers in the Night

11. Takin' a Chance on Live

12. I've got My Love to Keep Me Warm

13. Tomorrow

14. Tenderly

Do Any of you actually know these songs, or am I cookoo, or in a time warp? Celine has such a beautiful voice, and i think these would be perfect for her. Maybe she could do a tribute album to somebody like Frank Sinatra or Nat King Cole. What do you all think? What would you all like to hear from her? New styles? Covers? What kinds?

I just don't know. I agree that Celine would sound wonderful singing these classics - but it's so predictable and it's been done by so many great voices already.

While I agree, that in her older age, Celine should stop trying to focus on mainstream - and do more songs that showcase her amazing ability, I don't know if she should do it with these songs.

After Taking Chances - I want her to do that movie she wants - then do a pretty album that is full of vocal range. But who knows!
