algorhythm Posted November 29, 2007 at 09:14 AM Author Posted November 29, 2007 at 09:14 AM Did u guys know that a Christian band covered Don't Save It All For Christmas Day? Their name is Avalon. In fairness, their version is good, too. Cos the arrangement is the same as Celine's. It like a male version of Celine, hehe. Quote http://img2.freeimagehosting.net/uploads/381af4cd16.jpg

Jody McBrayer has absolutely one of the most beautiful and powerful voices ever. I was seriously shocked when I saw that album for the first time and listened to it.I knew that Janna Long from the group has been a Celine fan. She attended the taping of "Live in Memphis." Celine is one of her role models. I've been a fan of Avalon's for seven years. I've seen them live. They're actually coming to my city next month, but I'll be on my way back from seeing Celine in Vegas, so I will miss it. I feel a little bit uneasy because during Christmas time, they perform their Christmas songs. Unfortunately, Jody is no longer with the group. He has heart problems and has left to group to concentrate on his health, his well-being and his family. Edited November 29, 2007 at 09:38 AM by Love, Quote

medley Posted December 1, 2007 at 07:19 AM Posted December 1, 2007 at 07:19 AM (edited) I love the title track, Another Year Has Gone By, and The Prayer most O Holy Night -- Celine Has The Best Live Version Of This Song(You must listen to Xtina's trainwreak version i couldnt stop laughing)lol yes, the version on christina's xmas cd is blech. she performed Oh Holy Night live at christmas in washington in 1999 though, and that performance was awesome (she sang it in a more traditional way too, not the messed arrangement on the album). i actually really like her version of TAST though. RLAAMJR. Posted December 2, 2007 at 04:42 AM Posted December 2, 2007 at 04:42 AM does anybody know how many records of TASP were sold and what is the best selling christmas album of all time? Hmmm... you can check it in wikipedia though it's not reallt that reliable But as far as i know, I think it was either Bing Crosby's album which is the best-selling Christmas album or was it just the single "White Christmas" which is the best-selling Christmas single. Other websites stated it Mariah's Christmas album which is the best-selling Christmas album. I haven't encountered a websiteor articles stating Celine's Christmas album is the best selling Christmas album, but one of the best-selling Christmas albums only. Quote

Terre Posted December 2, 2007 at 11:06 AM Posted December 2, 2007 at 11:06 AM I don't know which song to vote, there are so many songs that I love on TAST! Don't Save It All For Christmas Day, Another Year Has Gone By, Christmas Eve, Happy Xmas (War Is Over) and These Are The Special Times are my very favourite songs. Cris77 Posted December 2, 2007 at 01:32 PM Posted December 2, 2007 at 01:32 PM I adore this album. I have no doubt, my favourite is "Oh Holy Night" because it's so powerful and tender at the same time. It makes me cry everytime I listen to it. I can´t help it. I also like the rest of the songs particularly the Xmas song. Have you heard the french version? it´s so divine. I'd love her 2 French Xmas albums were remastered and edited on CD. It would be wonderful. Quote
RLAAMJR. Posted December 3, 2007 at 05:25 AM Posted December 3, 2007 at 05:25 AM We should all buy her Christmas album again. We should make it the bestselling Christmas album. Quote
algorhythm Posted December 3, 2007 at 07:47 AM Author Posted December 3, 2007 at 07:47 AM i can't believe O Holy Night is leading the poll! eheheh.. for me, her version is really the best! exceptional! Quote http://img2.freeimagehosting.net/uploads/381af4cd16.jpg
RLAAMJR. Posted December 3, 2007 at 06:28 PM Posted December 3, 2007 at 06:28 PM Celine fans seem to prefer slow songs than the fast ones. "It's Christmas Eve" is at third place. Quote
gurinderfiles Posted December 3, 2007 at 08:51 PM Posted December 3, 2007 at 08:51 PM Oh, yeah. Definitely O HOLY NIGHT. Can anyone recall the opening song on her "There Are Special Times" TV Special? Quote I avoid too much laughter in the day because I am afraid to cry too much when the sun sets.

Orell Posted December 3, 2007 at 09:45 PM Posted December 3, 2007 at 09:45 PM There are so many good songs there, but I thinkI would go with 'Oh holy night' because she showsa huge diversity of her vocal abilities which is amazing! Quote
celinemanic Posted December 3, 2007 at 09:51 PM Posted December 3, 2007 at 09:51 PM Someone above mentioned that Mariah sings it also good. I think she only screams and tries to step on the right notes whispering on the low ones, and realizing that nothing else impresses the audience she makes a whistle note. Yuk. Celine's the best!!! gurinderfiles Posted December 3, 2007 at 10:13 PM Posted December 3, 2007 at 10:13 PM The Power of Love That's what I thought. I'm actually thinking if it's O HOLY NIGHT or THE POWER OF LOVE. Thanks for reminding. Quote I avoid too much laughter in the day because I am afraid to cry too much when the sun sets.
