This is such a busy forum, and if this has already been posted.. Feel free to delete..

 

Celine and Rene-Charles are on the cover of Dec 3rd edition of People magazine.

It says "Meet my son Rene-Charles"..

 

I just picked my copy up tonight at walmart..

I was at the store a few hours ago... I didn't see it... Maybe it's just me. :giggle:

I'll go again on Saturday. :P But honestly... So much RC stuff. We need to cut down on RC things! I love that kid, he's adorable, don't get me wrong, but we need more "just Celine" stuff, you know what I'm saying? -_-

I was hoping when I heard she was on the cover that it was the WHOLE cover with possibly newer pictures. It's still nice to see she's on the cover with the other celebs. ^_^

Sooo over this crap. She's been saying the same line for 7 years, "I can't wait to pick my own tomatoes". Meanwhile, she embarks on a one-year world tour after a 5 year stint in Vegas. Everything she is doing nowdays is half-assed: interviewing but talking about RC instead of the album, promoting the album but instead of presenting new songs, pushing the same old tired ones, going on award shows but avoiding the all-important red carpet...I seriously think that as good as it was for her to have René as her manager, there is now not enough distance between the manager-artist and the husband-wife. If she doesn't want to do it anymore, then don't! Sheesh, I get the same feeling from her now as I did when she "came back" with A New Day Has Come. I said it then, and I'll say it now, careful what you wish for...

 

I think Linda Perry hit the nail on the head. Celine is a people-pleaser and is afraid of saying no. And I will add, as much as she won't admit it, she is addicted to the stage. It is all she has ever really known. We all have our struggles and this is hers. But she is starting to really annoy the crap out of me. Fortunately, both D'Elles and TC have been good CD's!

And Joey.... Every periode she has her own little talk that she helds to the interview.... in 90-95 it was all about her family 96-98 was all about having childern and 99 was all about having a break... and ít's not only Céline to blame! The interviewer can do some research and ask 'how was it to work with Moody?" "What is your favourite song" etc... :hmm:

A little task for all you aspiring music journalists: How much research do you need to come up with questions as insightful as "What's your favourite song?" or "How was it to work with [read out lout name from album booklet]?" The first to answer will win a free B.A. in journalism :D

As soon as Celine's cheesiness seems to go down (coming back with new "edgier material" and looking good...) BANG!! Here's another example why people will start disliking her more!! Why wouldn't the cover say "Let me introduce my new album... Taking Chances!" Not ... René-Charles!! And that picture of René-Charles looking like a girl drew a lot of criticism when it was on the cover of Hello in Canada, so why would René allow this to be printed again??? And that picture from the Arabian Nights vow renewal was soooo disliked, why is it in there????

 

I'm starting to think that Celine wasn't even interviewed for this one... René has to control these magazine stories much better!!! :whistling:

And is Taking Chances even mentioned in there???? :blink:

 

Very disappointed to see this. It would be better for her not to have this coverage at all.... :nono:

come on promote the album ... give them NEW pictures from TC photoshoot....

 

i thought she will have a large picture on the cover....

 

with the years, RC is getting uglier and Celine looking sexier...

And I really love this pic of her with RC they used on the cover!!! :wub:

 

BUT I agree - it's like I'm quite bored with the same talks all over agin in press, TV and radio.... And so sad they are killing this FANTASTIC new album with almost zero talks about it anywhere... :( :( :(

 

I know, Céline doesn't really care about showbizz and success anymore but than again - why she recorded this album???

 

Even if I were here and if I wouldn't care about sales, charts etc. - I just would have liked to simply tell everyone that I have a new album out and how I enjoyed recording it and working with all that talented guys, producers!...

Exactly!It's a big difference between letting Celine speak freely and about anything she wants to talk about -and letting the reporter/interviewer ask questions...if the interviewer had been more professional he/she would have been asking more relevant questions...otherwise,Celine will talk about RC of course...

oh and not for nothing but i think RC is a very handsome little boy. he looks like a little rockerstar!
