November 21, 2007 -- THAT Celine Dion ordered 14 dishes of ravioli with tomatoes and peppers from Da Tommaso restaurant and paid the $500 tab in cash, with a $100 tip to the waiter who brought the food out to her waiting car on Eighth Avenue.

Haha, it is NYC and things are big $$s. She should've ordered a little of everything and they

all could've shared! :D I wonder who was eatin all that food.

I'm a waitress and I think her tip was normal...

 

I love ravioli :wub: I eat it at least once a week-it's true :laugh:

20% is normal in the US? In Romania is 10%. Only if you're extremly impressed with the services or food you give 15%. Maybe it's just in NY, cause it's an expensive city with lots of rich people...

I think it's a lot since it was ' a delivery' , she didn't have dinner at the restaurant .... hehhe at least here it changed all hehe

Well she probably does travel with a little bit of an entourage...Rene, her sister, RC, security, etc.

 

I just picture Celine eating ONE ravioli. Slowly cutting it up into smaller pieces and moving it around the plate and then saying she is full. :laugh:

It's 14 plates = $500, meaning it was $35.71 including tax.

Which is not too much.

 

You live in Singapore. The last time my family was there in your country, one plate was like 50 US Dollars.

Here's my math:

 

$100 divided by $500 = .2

.2 is the decimal form of 20%
