A New Day never had a follow-up single (as far as I remember); Sony released I Drove All Night off the One Heart disc in the US and stopped there; Miracle was simply a dud with no hit single to boast; and now Taking Chances...with no follow-up single again to date?? So Alone actually help the TC album sell better. If Taking Chances was the only one available and and celine didn't sing "Alone those times, TC album wouldn't sell as much as it has right now. Quote

Heart's version of the song is still played on adult/soft rock stations in the states, which are the stations that also play Celine. Maybe that's why it's being released as single across the pond?
