The Montecasino Teatro only opened in May this year.

It seats 1900

Celine will be performing there on 29 February 2008

Is it the smallest venue so far on the tour?

The South African leg of the tour is very strange

Johannesburg Coca-Cola Dome - Charity Event

Pretoria - Rugby Stadium (Capacity - over 50000)

Durban - Rugby Stadium (Capacity - over 50000)

Cape Town - A Wine Estate - Small Venue

Port Elizabeth - Rugby Stadium - (Capacity - over 50000)

Then Montecasino:

Which I`m guessing Rene picked :giggle:

PS: I have front row tickets to this one :D

(My sister`s gonna KILL me - she`s getting married in Durban the next day) :fear:

No this is not the smallest.

11-12 Monte Carlo Monaco Sporting Club would be the smallest. It only has few hundreds seats.

BTW, how much you paid for your front ticket?

R1129

Don`t know what the $US exchange rate is right now but the British Pound is

R13 = £1

:D

I paid R3590 for my front row ticket for Durban

Massive Difference.

I would think that front row tickets for a more intimate venue would cost more

My logic :D

£1 = R13

One Bitish Pound equals thirteen South African Rands :D

So I paid £170 for 2 front row tickets :D

About $340

PRESS RELEASE

CELINE DION ADDS MONTECASINO TO JO’BURG TOUR

The worlds’ biggest-selling female solo artist, Celine Dion, has added a one-night-only concert at Gauteng’s premier entertainment destination – Montecasino – to the South African leg of her ‘Taking Chances’ World Tour which kicks off in early 2008.

In response to the unprecedented demand for tickets by Celine Dion fans, 94.7 Highveld Stereo and Mr Price, in association with Kusasa Entertainment, have secured an exclusive additional Celine Dion concert for them, on the night of Friday 29 February 2008 – a day that only comes around once every four years and, for this audience, once in a lifetime.

The concert will be staged adjacent to the spectacular new outdoor Piazza, giving the one-night-only audience the opportunity to experience the magic of Celine in a Tuscan village under African skies. In this unique ambience, Celine fans will enjoy an unsurpassed musical performance, combined with the opportunity to enjoy Montecasino’s convenient location, ample parking, numerous restaurants and entertainment options.

Celine Dion is South Africa’s biggest selling female artist of all time and most celebrated artist ever to perform live in South Africa. The concert is part of her long awaited and anticipated ‘Taking Chances’ World Tour.

Wow! 1900 seats! That seems like that would be the best place to see Celine since it's a smaller venue. :thumbsup2:

I agree !

And Duchess and I have front row seats :P

 That's great! I think that will be a real special show, although they ALL are.

I think I will just have to settle for seeing her in one of the many North American "concrete cavern" type venues. :xmas_laugh:
