"Eyes On Me" to be second single in UK!

Wikipedia has some news on the North American release of EOM as a single. Here's what it says so far:

 

A remix version featuring will.i.am from Black Eyed Peas will be released in North America in February 2008. It's being played on the radio since January 14, 2008.

 

4-track CD-single - (AUS)/(US)

1. "Eyes on Me" (album version) - 3:53

2. "Eyes on Me" (Ashanti Boyz remix) - 6:22

3. "Eyes on Me" (Dance remix) - 4:47

3. "Eyes on Me" (Sahara remix) - 4:12

 

There's been no official confirmation, but it seems like a interesting update. And if the Will.I.Am remix is released, it probably will do pretty good over here. Does anyone know if it's true of not? I hope so...

Actually,

I'm doing what I can to protect Celine Dion articles. I just can't do it everyday.

So generally Celine has good articles in Wikipedia.

Of course. She needs an update on those songs SO BAD . She can't keep singing BYLM or IACBTMN like she sang them in 1997, or people will sleep at the concerts. Madonna also sings her best hits in a medley, all of them remixed or updated. Céline should do that too.

What it needs however, and surely even more the older hits (TPOL,BYLM...) is new approaches, new arrengements - new sound that I have asked for ever since her return in 2002, it's long overdue. But I ain't seeing it coming, her team is too old fashioned and too hook up with that things should be as it always has been - God forbid anything sounding too far from the studio tracks on the album (YES this has been motivations to lipped performances and dubbed over live performances ) ... So no....

Should we blame maybe her band? They always play the same way. Well if we listen closely and compare between AND performances of I'm Alive and IDAN and AND 2007 we can hear some changes, but the differences are very few. They really need to improve the sound and update the classics!

I agree. I am not too sure about how much Celine inputs into the sound of the band. I would have to imagine that any artist has some amount of say-so when it comes to the sound of their band. I kinda think that most of the live music kinda all sounds the same. I agree that there has been some evolution to the sound, but not much. There has never been a "re-invention" of the band's sound, etc. Other artists [Madonna, Tina Turner, Kylie, etc] all bring something special to each new tour, and I believe now is the time for Celine and her band to do the same.

 

If the IACBTMN, BYLM, TLYM "medley" from Vegas is going to be her "older hits medley" on the tour, I am way bummed. Those songs need an update to the sound. I would love nothing more than a new spin on her older stuff. But thinking about a previous post of mine in the "That's Just The Woman In Me" TV Special, I would imagine the powers that be don't want to remove Celine from the "classic sound" that so many of her fans know her for. It's a shame.

But what REALLY matters is the sales of the album and not the single... If the first is not holding the album anymore, it's time for the second one. But since Celine will not record any video for Eyes On Me, I don't think it will be a second single.

A hit single that usually means an increase in album sales. Even with no video for EOM they could have a had a hit song on thier hands with it being released in Jan. A little promotion was all that it needed.

About the music...I've been saying that for years! I hate to point it out, but Lara Fabian is amazing reinventing songs! Listen to the whole En Toute Intimité concert! It was hard to recognise the songs through the music! Also Tout on her 9 tour... completly different! to be on topic... look at this old thread of mine!

well there is so much Mego can do! Maybe he suggested the Medley Acoustique during the LTAL Tour... and he changed PQTME a bit for AND, but these are minor ajustments!... I think the real problem is Rene and Sony for not giving the audience anything other then 'what it is like on the album'.... and maybe Céline who could be afraid by doing something new; for not 'pleasing' the audience.... the stupid 'oh yeah I like Calean Dyhon... I have her falling into you record... the power of love is my favourite song' kind of people
