stevethefan Posted November 17, 2007 at 04:06 AM Posted November 17, 2007 at 04:06 AM (edited) Alright, this topic may not be as fun as some of your other reindeer games topics, but for selfish reasons I just want to know what people have (or don't) for breakfast each day. My typical breakfast: It usually varies, but when I'm good lately it's a banana, oatmeal (sometimes), yogurt and some sort of vehicle for transporting caffeine into my system (usually coffee). Sometimes I'm not so good and have, in the words of Homer Simpson....mmmmm DONUTS! (limit two, one usually glazed) Today I had some scramble eggs, potatoes and some sausage, which I LOVE, but I try to limit this cholesterol inducing meal. (although eggs get a bad rap, they are pretty good for you) I also like bagels. Oh and I lurve pancakes with the ever-so-popular maple syrple! Don't have those that much. When I DO get to eat breakfast, though, I like the amazing home made southern breakfasts like Mamma used to cook...lol Homemade buttermilk biscuits, gravy and bacon. Yes, I know fattening, but who cares in the south! stevethefan Posted November 19, 2007 at 10:19 PM Author Posted November 19, 2007 at 10:19 PM I also don't usually feel like eating a lot for breakfast when I wake up but I think that old adage is true that you should: Eat breakfast like a King, Lunch like a Prince and dinner like a pauper. The reasoning makes sense since if you eat the most calories in the morning you are more energized for the whole day and of course by the time you get to nightime you should be eating less. Unfortunately I tend to eat more calories at night. Quote

We usually sleep LATE on Sundays, so around 2pm we have a LARGE breakfast type meal. Usually eggs, bacon, and biscuits. Sometimes pancakes with sausage. It varies. I've lived hear ten years. The area I live in, Northern Virginia/D.C. is really, to me just the beginning of the South. As John F. Kennedy once said about Washington D.C.: "The efficiency of the South and the hospitality of the North." I could not agree more! I'm originally from the New England area, Boston.
