That was an awesome performance! Her voice sounded REALLY strong, I can't wait to hear BYLM! If she could just control the very beginning and sound a touch less nasal it would have been flawless...I think her best performance of the first part was Ellen this was the strongest she's sounded for the rest. It was GREAT!

I have watched Celine perform many, many, many times, over the past 10 years, and I don't come off as any authority on her singing. You on the other hand pick her songs apart. Mostly in negative way. I wish you could lighten up a little.

Words like "awesome performance," and "her voice was REALLY strong," and "it was GREAT" were all included, so if that's your version of negative, then I'm wondering who's really the one that needs to lighten up between us? I don't "pick" her performances apart, but I'll surely come up with something more generic than "ZOMG best performance EVAR! I <3 Celine, You can dooo no wrong to meeeee!" Do you want a bunch of mindless Celine drones that do nothing but praise everything she does, like children of the corn? I didn't say anything negative, so lay off!

In my opinion it wasn't the best performance of the song yet, that was on Ellen, but was still a good strong performance.

I've only just seen this and its hands down the best performance of Taking chances shes done yet- reeeeally good...she even just about used chest voice for the last "sayyyyyy" (to jumpin off the edge) You could tell shes much more at ease with singing this song now by her movements. Shes way more relaxed. Good to see shes gettin her voice back from whatever happened in Europe

GUYS, this is BY FAR the best performance celine has delivered of this song so far.

 

It is almost flawless, her voice flows so naturally and strong, doesn't sound nasal at all. You can really tell she did her vocal stretching that morning

 

The only small part she needs to improve is the lowest notes (the first low "what do you sayyyyyyyy" and the ending)

but it was AWESOME, miles away from all the rest.

 

I think im gonna make an mp3 out of this. it's worth being saved!

Loved it! Even if the band wasn't live, she really did a great job! She's so much better! As someone said, it's probally the best performance of TCH.

I think it was a good performance. Not so much aspiration on the notes in the first chorus, I like that. I guess that the more often you performe a song the more familiar you become with it and with its difficulties. You learn how to sing it properly even if your voice isn't in the best shape. That can only come with the experience of singing it live over and over again. And it makes the performance so much better on a great day. That obviously was a pretty good day.

 

@LVCeline, I think constructive criticism is more important than "praise" - I am there with you! :-)
