binsk Posted July 16, 2008 at 07:59 PM Posted July 16, 2008 at 07:59 PM (edited) Do we know if there will even be one [for the US leg]? I wouldn't be suprised if it was Delta Goodrem since she wrong Eyes on Me and she just released her album in the US Edited July 16, 2008 at 08:07 PM by Thomas Quote -RK
Jacqui Posted July 17, 2008 at 01:36 AM Posted July 17, 2008 at 01:36 AM That would be so awesome if it was Delta! She's my favourite after Celine. At the same time I would be so upset though because I can't go!!! Quote
thesupernova Posted July 20, 2008 at 10:03 PM Posted July 20, 2008 at 10:03 PM i was thinking it might be delta for the US. i know they're trying to launch her here in the states. i would love it if she was. i just bought her new cd and i love it. not as good as her first cd but pretty close. other than her, i really cant think of anyone else who would be good enough to do it. bsj1701 Posted July 20, 2008 at 11:39 PM Posted July 20, 2008 at 11:39 PM I have heard the U.S. opening act will be "Gordie Brown" a comedian that plays Las Vegas often. Quote http://i372.photobucket.com/albums/oo169/b.../Animation4.gif
SensationalCeline Posted July 21, 2008 at 02:07 PM Posted July 21, 2008 at 02:07 PM To be honest, I don't really need any supporting act before Céline, hehe! I would rather prefer if she would have a guest or two... maybe Barbra in Berlin? Or JJG and Garou in Paris? Or Marilou... I couldn't agree more! All I need is Céline! Why do they do an opening act? No one cares about that all people want is Celine. No opening act can compare to her, Celine is brilliant compared to opening acts. VinnyT. Posted July 25, 2008 at 10:02 AM Posted July 25, 2008 at 10:02 AM Singing impressionist Gordie Brown has landed a five-month gig as the opening act for Celine Dion's North American leg of her "Taking Chances" tour. http://www.gordiebrown.com/index_html.htm Quote For Exclusive News "Like Us" on Facebook http://i44.tinypic.com/vfjwad.jpg click on the banner

mirage Posted July 25, 2008 at 02:55 PM Posted July 25, 2008 at 02:55 PM what is it with celine's openings acts!? bah... if she want some comedians she should hire the one who does celine... gypsy miller... lol Quote
Love, Posted July 25, 2008 at 04:19 PM Posted July 25, 2008 at 04:19 PM I think her Australian Tour leg had the BEST opening act... Anthony Callea Too bad they couldn't have David Archuleta for her North American Tour leg. Quote
A New Day Has Come Posted July 25, 2008 at 04:26 PM Posted July 25, 2008 at 04:26 PM Yeah they should have got Gypsey Miller she is the best comedian right now. Quote
Rossum89 Posted July 25, 2008 at 07:05 PM Posted July 25, 2008 at 07:05 PM Too bad they couldn't have David Archuleta for her North American Tour leg. tomaat Posted July 25, 2008 at 08:52 PM Posted July 25, 2008 at 08:52 PM Wait and see I remember 3 years ago, I went to a Lara Fabian concert in Brussels and she as well had a comedian as warm-up. Alex_Incognito Posted July 25, 2008 at 09:09 PM Posted July 25, 2008 at 09:09 PM Great! A comedien! I always hate musical opening acts---Long, boring songs that make you wait to see the main event. At least the comedien might be able to put the audience in a good mood. But twice---the same act---that will get old! Quote "People pay 20-25 dollars to see you."- Céline Dion, 1990

bkitt Posted July 25, 2008 at 10:14 PM Posted July 25, 2008 at 10:14 PM I'm sure it will be a good show......his preview seemed pretty funny. Anyway, I'd rather have a comedy act than a different band or singer anyway! Can't wait! Quote ~ Bkitt

Lou555 Posted July 26, 2008 at 12:00 AM Posted July 26, 2008 at 12:00 AM Great, he's not coming in Montreal!Still hope we can have Marilou here! Marilou? I hope not, she would not be a hit IMO, it's too big for her. In previous tours Céline had bigger stars than her and apart maybe from Mario Pelchat, they weren't appreciated that much. And I don't know that she's that popular in Québec, not with me and people around me anyway. I think it has to rally all ages because Céline's fans are 7 to 77. Comedians have always been hits.. I hope it will be a local comedian(humoriste) or a mix of humour and song maybe. ..someone like Marc Dupré he would be great and it would stay in the family!!! I guess, we'll just have to wait and see! Quote
