TeamCeline ticket limits

Hello everyone,

 

First of all I am very excitied that Celine is coming to Australia next year!

 

I was wondering though, regarding the teamceline tickets, if the two ticket limit means you can get a maximum two members tickets for each show or does it mean you can get a maximum two members tickets in total for the entire tour?

 

I only ask this as I would like to attend at least two of Celine's shows in Australia.

 

Any help would be appreciated.

Now I know the rules are for the entire tour!! HOWEVER, teamceline allows you to go through to checkout to buy additional tickets for a separate event! I really wanna go to May 8 in London

 

I don't want to do it for fear of having all my tickets cancelled!!! ;o(

 

Anyone booked for more than one concert through teamceline?

Yep, I bought Team Celine-tickets for Antwerp, Paris and Amsterdam. But I guess Antwerp and Paris were not yet included in the 'whole tour'-story. When I try to look for more tickets, it is not possible anymore. So if you have reached you limit, you will not be able to buy tickets. And if it works, you are still able to buy tickets. Easy as that!

well, I certainly hope the two-ticket limit does not apply to the whole tour!

All my tickets were bought through teamceline (except May 2nd!)

I was convinced it only applied per show. If I try to buy more tickets for the same show using teamceline it does not work. But it lets me buy for other shows.

I'm sure it's only a two-ticket limit per show...! At least , I hope so...!

The policy applies to the whole tour, meaning you can only purchase 2 TeamCeline tickets per membership. See this part of the statement released on the official forum:

 

The reason we have limited each member to 2 TeamCeline tickets for the World Tour is because we want to ensure that all members will have a fair chance to purchase tickets in the premium seating areas. It is extremely important to us that we make sure these premium seating tickets be available to the real Celine fans (TeamCeline members), and that they do not go to ticket scalpers. Setting the 2 ticket per member limit is the only way to ensure that all TeamCeline members have a fair chance to purchase these tickets.

I'm afraid the tickets you bought after you reached you're limit are probably void. You should contact tix@musictoday.com for advice.

That policy came after several shows had already gone on sale. If you could buy tickets, there is no problem. They will not and can not take them away from you, since you paid for it. When you've reached your limit, you cannot buy anymore. Their mistake they did not think of this policy before the ticketsale for the tour started. It is not fair, but Team Céline was a little late with this, as usuall. But I dont care, I have some good tickets!

This is not good news!

I already have my tickets for Paris and Nice, all bought through team celine.

Furthermore, my membership recently expired so I suppose I'll have to join again.

 

Surely they wouldn't make the seats available without contacting me first?

Phew! Although I would still e-mail them. It can't harm to be sure and I would hate for him to travel all the way to France to find out there is a problem.

Well, if they charged him for all these tickets and haven't done any refund than I would say he got his tickets.

 

Otherwise it would be thieft, wouldn't it?

When the tickets for France went on sale, that policy was not on yet. At least not for the whole tour. When I bought tickets for Paris, I could only buy one pair of tickets. So at that time, the policy was 'per city' in stead of for the whole tour. But for the other cities it was no problem. So I am sure he is allright. By the way, the tickets for France were sent to everybody, so I guess you have your tickets at home already? Nothing to worrie about! Edited March 23, 2008 at 09:37 AM by LD1977

When the tickets originally went on sale the system was set up to allow you to buy 2 tickets for the entire tour. If you attempted to get more then it would not allow you and you'd get a message saying that you'd reached your allocation. I had big problems with TC as I only wanted one ticket for O2 and one ticket for MEN. However, the system thought I'd already reached my allocation when I bought my O2 ticket and I had to telephone the customer services to purchase the second ticket for MEN.

 

I guess that there were so many complaints that they realised this was unfair on the fans and changed it.

 

So now it's possible to purchase more tickets for other venues as it seems many of us have.

And, apart of all these confusions, I really hope they will remove this limit at least for upcoming European shows as there are really many shows where tickets are not selling so well, there are still loads of tickets available... If they'd remove this limit of 2 tickets per entire tour per member, I'm sure some members would buy more tickets because of good seats.

 

If they won't do this, I'm really worried about some shows in Germany, for instance... I'm really afraid some of them will be need to be cancelled as there are less than 50% tickets sold, as far as I'm concerned...

Some mixed responses, but I'm fairly sure that if they charged me for the tickets, sent email confirmations and haven't contacted me since then there is jus no way they can invalidate the tickets. At least without notifying me and especially if not all TC tickets are sold by now.

 

I bought tickets for Paris last May, long before the limit was set it seems. But I only bought my ticket last month. I have, however, recieved all these tickets. I have also recieved my tickets for 2nd May (non-TC tix) but I'm still a bit worried about the 3rd May show. These tickets are being held at WillCall cause I bought them from France and I would hate to turn up only to be told that the tickets are not valid.

 

Worse still would be travelling all the way to New York to be told I can't see the show... Yikes!!

 

I'm reluctant to email them in case I signal to them a problem they haven't yet noticed... but maybe it is better to be safe than sorry!

 

ps: Wow! I can't believe that only 50% of tickets have been sold for some Germany shows... that's really bad!

This is really strange... I bought tickets for Amsterdam and since then I was not able anymore to look for tickets for that show. But tonight I tried again and I could look for tickets again! Seems like there is something wrong with the system, or at last they did make more tickets availabe since they are not selling out?

well if anyone wants TC tickets, the first person to PM me, i'll give you the code since i'm not using them nor will i use them. i got tickets another way and i don't want my TC tickets to go to waste...

And in some cases, like in Amsterdam, you have to pick up the tickets personally with your ID and Team Céline-card. So I am afraid this will not work very easy, you will be involved in one way or another.

Exactely, Laura is right...

Actually that's the worst thing about "Will Call", because if you are really unable to go to the show (something bad or very important happends to you/your relatives and you simply can't go), there's no way to sell these tickets even for the original price to someone else who can go...

So if someone really can't go, she/he'll waist her money forever and those tickets are mostly not something cheap, right?...

 

And I really hope they'll remove or at least extend that silly limit, otherwise Céline will have to look at many empty seats in many venues...

 

By the way, what just came into my mind last evening:

What do you think, 'til what time you have to pick the "Will Call" tickets at the venue?? I'm sure there's a deadline so they will be able to sell the tickets to someone else if the owner won't appear.

 

Maybe some of you who already visited the shows and had "Will Call" TC tickets can give us more info/adviace??

Does anyone know if you can only pick up your TeamCeline tickets at Will Call on the day of the concert or can you do it a few days before hand? I'm going to be in London for a few days before the May 6th show and am eager to pick up my tickets as soon as I can.
