"Celine Dion's 10th English-language studio album and first in three years showcases an artist eager to escape all preconceptions. On "Taking Chances," the world's best-selling female artist lets go of diva serenades in favor of true grit. All elements signal fresh direction, from producers Ben Moody, Linda Perry and Ne-Yo; lyrics that address edgy life lessons; and vocal technique foregoing creamy polish. Still, authenticity commands Dion's mission. anyway大致是说，这个是celine的第10张english album，然后celine try了很多不同的新的stuff，但是仍然是很celine dion，taking chances这个single进入了billboard的AC top10 (adult contemporary)，然后现在好多radio都在播放single “my love” and “alone”， 作者因该蛮喜欢" thats just the woman in me" and " this time", 然后他觉得critics因该会对taking chances感到满意，因为celine投入了很多感情，并不是有些critics说的像steel一样的冰冷的vocal。

 

by the way, Chuck Taylor是well- known的journalist, 从1995年开始为Billboard工作，是billboard的senior editor， Taylor还是voting member of NARAS (the Grammy Awards)
