Before the show started a woman from SonyBMG, head of marketing (we should have booed! ) introduced the show and Céline recorded a little message for us! Céline said something like 'Hello you guys in Holland, I'm very thrilled that you will be seeing the show. I hope you like the dvd and my new cd" (don't pin me down on this! ) The show itself is of course amazing! Céline looked wonderfull, although a bit tired. The costumes are so beautiful! In detail there are even more gorgeous!! And of course the most important thing, Céline sounded amazing!! She was really great vocally! Seduces me gave me chills! and with LCMM and RDMH you just wanna stand up and dance! My downsides: sometimes the switching between images was very quick, and at times too much focussed on Céline. Of course I want to see her, but I want to see the rest of the show too! I would have prefered some more widescreen shoots! Also they cuts some 'dark points', I dunno how to call it, when the stage is dark, or the few seconds before another song started, that wasn't there.. which is sad in a way, cos those moments build to the tention... the trailer and bonusses of the TC CD:OMG I can't believe you can actually see the moment that Céline tells her father has passed away! It nearly made me cry! It's strange and beautiful the same time to see it. Céline must have found it so important to enclude it on the DVD and share it with us! You can also see little René-Charles and Céline at home and in the car with René... it's really amazing we're getting to see all this! To sum up the dvd... it's amazing, brilliant, wonderfull, but it will never ever really capture the feeling you have when you saw it live in Las Vegas.. seeing Céline and all the dancers, the atmosphere that's in the Colloseum when Céline's performing... to quote Céline: "There was more then shows, there was more then music and dance. Needless to say it sounds like it will sound better than the cd that was released. I think we're all very excited to have it, especially the fans that haven't seen the show before! Un Rêve Posted November 9, 2007 at 04:12 PM Posted November 9, 2007 at 04:12 PM Hey guys! I was there last night as well, and it was just amazing to be able to see the show again. Because the switches between cameras were very frequent during the clip of IDAN that we had all seen already, I was a bit afraid that that would be throughout the entire DVD, but fortunately, it wasn't the case. Like Davey said, there were quite a few of them, but it didn't bother me as much. I LOVED the fact that they focused on Celine a lot, because you don't get to see her face as clearly when you are actually in the Colosseum, even if you're sitting front row. They merged images of Celine and other figures on stage quite a few times, which was really cool. I wasn't very fond of some angles they used, but overall, they did an amazing job of conveying the feeling you get when you watch the show in real life. The only song that I felt like the "feel" of it wasn't conveyed very well was Ammore Annascunnuto, although they filmed it very well. I guess you just have to see the entire stage and sit there to really feel that. Overall, the DVD is amazing. Really, the filming and editing is really, really good. Celine sings perfectly. A big thanks to all the fans that went there for the filming, you guys are an amazing audience! (although the rest of the audience is also very enthousiastic, from the looks of it) It is so much fun to see so many familiar faces in the audience, it really adds to the experience! Quote

The colours were incredible and as vivid as you would actually be there. I thought the transitions during the songs were wonderful We didn't get to see any of the additional documentary's yet, it will be a surprise. But juding from the Bonus DVD that will be magnificent!!! Now I could see the things I did not see when I was there. Though when I was there everything was different (been two years lol). Overall I am not amazed by it though. She was already bad in lipping, but on this DVD is even worse and way too obvious. I went with two friends who hadn't seen anything live of hers and they asked me why she 'is doing funny with her lips' on a few songs. Pity. Fun to see Salla on the disc though And also funny to see Mathias run around in real life (and a few others i had/have on MSN) Quote
