Mozinha Posted March 26, 2005 at 11:54 PM Posted March 26, 2005 at 11:54 PM Love can move mountains and the songs with Gloria were live, this I remember well. The others, I think most were liped. Does this really matters? Wasn't it a great show liped or not? Nautanick Posted March 27, 2005 at 02:40 AM Posted March 27, 2005 at 02:40 AM On the ATW special, the following songs were liveLCMMHere We AreCongaMusic of my Heart (Gloria Estefan & N'Sync) Lipped To Love You MoreThat's the Way It IsAll The WayThe First Time Ever I Saw Your Face Does this really matters? Wasn't it a great show liped or not? No, sorry I don't agree. I think it's her worst TV special, and a very, very poor sendoff before she took her break. Where the hits? And I just despise album playback on what's supposed to be a live TV special. Last but not least: N'SYNC!!? Since when does Celine Dion need a crappy boy band to help her sing anything? Quote
Mozinha Posted March 27, 2005 at 08:26 AM Posted March 27, 2005 at 08:26 AM Well I enjoy it everytime I see it. Gotta take time to watch it again.Céline looked wonderful, emotional. For some reason she did not really sing but we could feel her emotion. It was a tought time for her so I think she did great. celinefanonline Posted March 27, 2005 at 11:47 AM Posted March 27, 2005 at 11:47 AM yeah it's a bit too short i thinkand she should perform more songs from the pastbut anyway that's the way it it... Quote Courage don't you dare fail me now!
CelineFreak Posted March 27, 2005 at 09:35 PM Posted March 27, 2005 at 09:35 PM Nautanick... I think you are right except for To Love You More. Why do you say that was lipsynced? It's not the album version, obviously. And I don't think it was a prerecorded live version. Plus you can always tell by two things if she's singing live. A) She takes her signature stance to deliver her songs (whereas lipsyning she tends to act out the song or use more hand gestures) and If the song is lipsynced, it will sound a bit louder, clearer, and more full. You would think it would be the othe way around... but I've noticed this in the past. Quote

Nautanick Posted March 28, 2005 at 05:59 AM Posted March 28, 2005 at 05:59 AM Guys, come on. TLYM sounds the exact same as it does, or pretty darn close to it, in almost every instance we've heard it. Celine may have sung a part of the song live but the ending is definitely the standard live version we all know. Given Celine's vocal condition at this time I doubt she could have pulled off TLYM live. Quote

trangceline_89 Posted March 28, 2005 at 09:49 AM Author Posted March 28, 2005 at 09:49 AM I can't believe that Celine lipsynced, where did all of you get information ? Or just listen ? I don't like lipsynced songs ( Quote love Celine, love Celine, love..................
Mozinha Posted March 28, 2005 at 03:38 PM Posted March 28, 2005 at 03:38 PM I don't complain about her lipsync in this particular show because she doesn't do this often. Most of the times she really sings. A lotof artists never sing live anywhere, or rarely do it.I understand it was by the end of 1999, she was tired, it was a tought year for her, a lot of concerts and appearences and explaining over and over again why make a break in her carreer and a lot of worries and problems in her personal life.. She probably was just tired. She doesn't need to sing live ALL the time. She doesn't need to prove herself, everybody knows she can sing. Miller Posted April 5, 2005 at 06:42 AM Posted April 5, 2005 at 06:42 AM For me I think Celine always lypsync specially when she was touring...She did this to a song or two or maybe three for the reason of protecting her voice. But the line between lypsync and live is when Celine tries hard to deliver the high notes, you can see in her face and also when she do not use a lot of gestures so that she could control her voice. But when she lypsync... she uses a lot of gestures and you could notice on her face when she deliver a high note that she does not put extra effort and you could here that the notes was strong but Celine was effortless. And also when she lypsync she could do all the moves she want to because she would not bother to control her voice. But put it on mind that she does not lypsync all the songs when she is performing. But most of the time she lypsync is during a taping of her TV Specials...I would be strenous to take after take each songs. So I guess on the All The Way... TV Special there were songs that was lypsync but there was also live. For me the songs that was lypsync were: The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face and All The Way because these songs were the same to the studio sound whereas That's The Way It Is was a live playback... and I think the rest of the songs where live. zeesh100 Posted April 7, 2005 at 03:24 PM Posted April 7, 2005 at 03:24 PM I thought that every song was sung live except for Thats the Way It is and To Love You More. However, she sang TTWII with NSync so does than mean that NScync lipped with her on this song. Quote

Bellamy Posted April 8, 2005 at 03:45 PM Posted April 8, 2005 at 03:45 PM lipsync few songs on TV special mean nothing. mostly because of technical reasons. we all know Celine can sing LIVE better than anyone, that's the most important. and of course we all want to hear her sing live more. I especially hate dubbed tracks by SONY like GTSW on CBS 2002. Quote Please support the forum by ordering everything through our special Amazon.com link Click here. Thank you!
