November A Crucial Month

November is a crucial month for A/C artists to make a huge impact with their new music. Not only must they get attention so their albums will sell, but they have to make a buzz for the holiday season. On top of that many A/C stations around the U.S. start to only play holiday music and nothing else once the month of December hits, making January the next possible month to make an impact with new material that's non-holiday related. This would mean that if "Taking Chances" doesn't get in the top 10 sometime in November it most likely never will.

 

With that said one can only hope for Celine that once the tapings of Ellen, Oprah, WMAs, etc. air that "Taking Chances" will take off. If it doesn't then yet again one of Celine's new albums will fall to the ground quicker than a drunk at a kegger.

 

What is everybody's thoughts?

I think it's a bit too early to comment. By "taking Chances" do you mean the album or the single??

I think that the lack of chart success is cos of lack of airplay which celine cant really do any thing about, but luckily shes working her arse off with tv promotion worldwide so i think the album will sell well. plus surely all the people who went to vegas to see her will snap up the new album so that should be alot of US sales.
