Errrr..... I just left Malaysia yesterday. I heard Celine's new single was playing at Lot 10. It's so cool! Really hope they will hav it here in Singapore too.

AH! I'm in Malaysia now. Well, I will try to win the ticket from Mix.fm. I was quite surprise they are actually starting to advertise Taking Chances. I think it's going to be pretty huge in Malaysia.

when is the actual listening party anyway? Well it's not easy to get the ticket because u need to wait for the cue to call which is going to be very dificult becuz I won't be listening to the radio all the time. About meeting up, maybe we could have our own Malaysian Celine fan meet up.

perseverance is key to winning those 4 tix! me and my friends waited on our bums holding our cellphones with the number already on screen for hours lol. i waited for 5 hours. so did MalaysiaCeline.

 

its on Nov 10th, this coming Saturday. well i'll tell you the times when you need to wait for it. last week, you gotta sit and wait from 12pm onwards, 3 onwards, 5 onwards, 9 onwards. it comes on pretty random but these are roughly the times when the DJs start announcing the song's gonna come on. i won it at around 5pm, MalaysiaCeline won it at around 6pm and another friend won it at around 7pm.

This is exciting, but if anyone wants the number, they should do the hardwork and get it for themselves, rather than harrasing someone for it....I think that's pretty poor.

:clap: :clap: YES It is pretty true....my hp was standby the number from 3pm until 7pm...and keep on wearing mp3 earphone even when i attended several meeting, as i scare i missed the chance to win the ticket and finally :clap: i called in and the DJ was telling "Hey dude, we havent play any celine dion song, but i said i heard it just now, and he said it was the radio advertisement but then he said nevermind...he said i must be a super big fans of Celine so he just post me the simple question, the full name of Celine Dion. And with the help from lamourpourCeline, i won myself 4 tickets to the listening party. But they didnt call me to let me know any details info on the listening party, time , date and venue.

Not that Celine Dion dont want to come to Malaysia, is just a matter of there is no sponsor out there seein the potential for bringing Celine to malaysia, there is none sponsor/concert organizer/ private sector that actually initiated the plan to approach Celine to have a concert in Malaysia, they dont see how they can generate much revenue from one concert by bringing Celine to malaysia, so they rather focus on those hot singers like Beyonce, Gwen Stefenni in today music industry. This will never gonna happen in Malaysia, until there is one actually forsees the potential hits for having Celine in Malaysia. China is doing something and at last they got Celine to perform 3 shows there, Hong Kong is not confirm yet, Japan concert ticket is open for sales now....and i strongly believe If there is one to bring Celine here in Malaysia, it will generate much much more income for the country itself, as fans from Singapore, Thailand, Hong Kong and others neighbour countries will fly to Malaysia just to see an exclusive concert ..the only show in ASIA....Arena Teah brought in Il Divo last year and the responses was pretty good and the ticket sales was pretty expensive as well....more 1k and all Tan sri, Puan Sri actually attended this private concert. But nevermind.....we can fly o china next year to attend her concert ? anyone want to join?

I don't think China is dangerous. Security in big cities like Beijing, Shanghai are maybe one of the best in the world.

I am that other friend who won at around 7pm and I can tell you I probably had one of the most sarcastic remarks given by Sham, the DJ. I thought it was the 9th caller through, not "be the first". I already knew it was a Celine song even before he mentioned it and my phone was SO ready with the number. I waited an extra couple of seconds and called. It rang. And rang. And rang some more until I almost wanted to hang up until he said, "Hello?" And I'm like "YES!!"

 

So yeah, here I come! It's the first time I've won something Céline-y. If they have the Special Ed on presale, I would tell my relative in the US to stop buying, but I doubt they carry it, I mean, they didn't even carry D'Elles special edition over here, but then again, Céline's coming to Malaysia for a concert, so anything is now possible! :yahoo:

 

OK... Now, I am SO going to have to call MixFM because I NEED to know the when and where of the thing as I am NOT from KL and I need to travel and book tickets and so forth. Anyone daring enough to call MixFM to ask? :whistling:

tomolo is friday ...and rumour said that the listening party is on this coming saturday 10 Nov 2007 and no news yet from mixfm.......for the 1st time......malaysia is promoting Celine........and more 10 years being celine's fans.....i won myself something.....and that is abll about Celine.....this is the biggest surprise celine gave me....what more can i ask for.... :sofunny: :sofunny:

Well, I can confirm the place for you, since I've called them up. It's at CineLeisure Damansara. It IS confirmed for Saturday, Nov 10th. But the surprising thing is, they don't know the time yet. Now THAT is frustrating. Anyhow, I am probably going to take an early morning bus on Saturday. So, see you guys there. I can't wait!
