Well, Steve, you are on your way to a PhD in the Theme song category!!

Sooooo let's see if you remember something a bit different...

Ahhh now you are getting into some interesting categories!

I have TWO answers for this.

The answer I THINK you are looking for is that Kato was bumbling inspector Closeaus' (Peter Sellers) assisant in all of those great, funny Pink Panther movies!

But Kato was also the name of the assistant to "The Green Hornet" a sixties TV show that I never saw or was too young to remember. But this Kato was played by someone very famous...Bruce Lee!

Bravo!!   Bravo!!

Well done!! Yes you would have been too young to have watched the Green Hornet. Unfortunately, I was not too young and did watch it! :msn-wink:

:hmm:

On to another tv character which you'll surely remember:

Dwayne Snyder

"One Day at a Time"

Now I've got a question for you:

A 70's show that featured a psychologist, and his wife. At the place he worked there was a crazy dentist.

Big hint: It took place in the windy city. ^_^

Posted

Oh Steve - that was the classic Newhart show. Part of the amazing Saturday night line up on CBS consisting of All In The Family, The Jefferson's, The Mary Tyler Moore Show, Newhart and the Carol Burnett Show

Bob Newhart played Bob Hartley, a psychologist.

Suzanne Pleshette played his wife Emily.

Bill Daly played Howard Borden, the neighbor who was an airline pilot.

Peter Bonerz played Jerry, the dentist.

Marcia Wallace played Carol, the receptionist.

And yeah -- remembered ALL of it ... didn't cheat...

So let's stay with this a moment...

what show was Bill Daly on before Newhart?

"Jeannie!...Jeannie!

"I Dream of Jeannie" (with Larry Hagman and Barbara Eden) :msn-tongue:

I DID watch this show (I think they run it now on the Game Show Network).

Here are some I remember:

Charles Nelson Reilly, some woman who I could never figure out what she was famous for but was married to Jack Klugman (she died very recently), Gene Rayburn (host)

Uh oh! That's all I can think of! :o

I didn't know that Brett Somers died.

Carol Wallace of Newhart was a semi-regular. As was Fannie Flagg, author of Fried Green Tomatoes.

But one panelist, in particular, was on one tv show prior to Match Game and hosted another successful tv show after Match Game....

Do you remember who? And what the other shows were?

You mean...RICHARD DAWSON of Hogan's Heroes and Family Feud fame? ^_^

Back on track now Steve!!! :thumbsup2:

So what other show was Charles Nelson Reilly in?

Name the move that this quote comes from: "We play both kinds of music here... country AND western."

Have I finally stumped you with the question about Charles Nelson Reilly?

As for your query... I am so NOT a movie buff, that I will readily admit I have no clue...

but I would guess Urban Cowboy

Sorry I didn't see the Charles Nelson Reilly question. ^_^

I do remember he was in some show but I'm not sure. Was it "Love American Style?"

Oh, by the way the answer to my question was "The Blues Brothers."

Posted

Charles nelson Reilly was in The Ghost and Mrs. Muir - and you would have been very young when it was on. Hope lang played Mrs. Muir. Edward Mulhare played the Captain - Ghost

I never saw the Blues Brothers Movie... but keeping with the movie line theme...

What movie had this line:

"I'll change you from a rooster to a hen in one shot!"

I LOVE that movie - Dolly Parton in 9 to 5!!

Name three shows which Bill Bixby starred in and name his main co-star in each show.

Hey I DO remember that show "The Ghost and Mrs Muir." I remember watching it!

:hmm: I know Bill Bixby was in "The Courtship of Eddy's Father." I don't know the name of the boy that played his son i it though. He was alos in "The Hulk." Don't know anyone in that either. I think the other show was before these other two but I don't know.

Okay Steve - you got 2 of the 3 shows... but none of the co-stars. You are correct that the third show aired before either Courtship or Hulk ... maybe Smurfette or Winforlife know the answers...
