My Mom is the best cook in the WORLD!!I am so looking forward to having some Cornbread Dressing!! My brother is coming in from Oklahoma...BUT it won't be a complete "family reunion"because my daughter, Angel, won't be able to make it home until Christmas Quote http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y157/byusmurf/siggy12-25-05.jpg
stevethefan Posted November 2, 2007 at 02:16 AM Posted November 2, 2007 at 02:16 AM I think I may have to...gulp...WORK on Thanksgiving. I can't really complain since I've had a lot of good past Thanksgivings so it's ok to have to do this sometimes. Quote
Elaine Posted November 4, 2007 at 02:44 AM Posted November 4, 2007 at 02:44 AM Well, we don't comemorate Thanksgiving here in Brazil, but as I teach English, I have to pass on the American culture to my students, therefore we comemorate almost every american celebration in our school. Thanksgiving we don't do with the students, only the staff. last year it was really fun! Each one brings something one knows how to cook and we have lunch together! I'll see if I find pictures of our last year's Thanksgiving! If you have any suggestions of recipes for me to cook this year I'm all years (or eyes, since I'm gonna read it! ) Quote http://img807.imageshack.us/img807/1352/opo3.jpg

DianaLuts Posted November 6, 2007 at 11:59 PM Posted November 6, 2007 at 11:59 PM (edited) I am going to Dallas for Thanksgiving. I am glad there is no school on Thursday or Friday. I guess we will have dinner and maybe i get to go to SAKS 5th there. I have my outfits for Nov 29th and Dec 2nd shows but nothing for the last shows... I want that Vera Wang dress Celine wore in W photoshoot. So hopefully i can find that and a new bag... I am dreaming of Prada....Like they say Devil wears Prada...Lol, just kidding! KimboCosmo Posted November 7, 2007 at 08:39 AM Posted November 7, 2007 at 08:39 AM (edited) Well, normally I look forward to Thanksgiving, but in the world of RETAIL, I have to work Black Friday. 5am to 1pm, which isn't to bad I guess, once all the mad dashers get their items they have been standing outside all night for leave. At least I don't have to close and clean up the mess! I think I'll be in a pretty good mood this year for it, though, seeing as I will only have about 4 days till I leave for Vegas after all that is over. As far as Thanksgiving day goes, we will have a HUGGGGGGGE feast with tons of home made southern food. Best ever! I am excited! PrincesseJen Posted November 7, 2007 at 05:58 PM Posted November 7, 2007 at 05:58 PM (edited) Let's see... I plan on spending all day in the kitchen making the food, eat it in about 5 minutes, try to find room in the refrigerator for leftovers, having to loosen my pants and dozing off for the rest of the day.
