so we need to make a perment plan where we a going to meet up.

 

i don't know manchester well. & i'm flying into manchester on the 2nd so i won't have much time.

 

maybe we can meet on canal street and go to the area from there??

Manchester is all sold out I'm afraid so I really don't think any seats will be released

 

I'll be Manchester correspondent as best I can...I'll have spies positioned throughout the city

http://www.ticketline.co.uk have some tickets for the Sat night. Not great ones, top tier. Other than that just keep checking the sites, tickets usually get released last minute. As some are always set aside for VIPs etc

I emailed Channel M (local TV station for non locals) to see if they were going to cover Celine's concerts in Manchester, here's the response

 

"Hi Paul

We will give the gig a mention on 2nd 3rd May. We always request interviews but I very much doubt we will get that one! if there is quite a bit of hype around the concert we might get a few quick chats with fans but we don't know what to expect from the Celine fans?

If you and a few of your forum friends have tickets for Celine I could see about getting you passes for the Channel M Bar inside the arena so you can have a few drinks together in there?? Leave it with my and ill speak to my producer about putting on a fan type night in there - do you think there would be the interest?

I responded saying we would be interested and that I would get an idea of numbers for the bar before the show on the Friday and Saturday (am going both days!) Also I asked about the possibility of us maybe being interviewed. I think I sold the event to them so hopefully we'll make some decent promotion. If you're interested please let me know asap.

I received a telephone call from Joanne Nield @ Channel M, following this she sent me this email! (Note the Start time!! eek!!)

 

Hello Paul

 

Thanks for speaking to me today. Channel M is part of The Guardian Media Group please check www.channelm.co.uk for details. The proposed interview is on Friday 2nd May at 8.15am. Please could the Celine Dion fans report to Channel M at 7.45am. The address is:

On the day they will report to Vanessa Williams at Channel M Breakfast at the reception in the Urbis building. Channel M reception is on the west side of the building facing Victoria station. If you need parking please park at MEN arena car park to the Victoria Station exit. The proposed interview will consist of the following:

-vox pops with Celine Dion fans about why they are fans, the tour, about being in Manchester.

Please could you provide the following:

-As many fans as possible who are happy to go on live television.

-names and contact details- also country/region live in and originate from.

-Any interesting stories about their experiences of being fans.
