Epoenah Posted October 26, 2007 at 05:03 AM Posted October 26, 2007 at 05:03 AM Celine Dion sings about Fellatio You might not have heard of Mark Hudson, he of the rainbow-colored facial hair and one-third of the 1974 TV variety show act The Hudson Brothers, but you've definitely heard his songs. He wrote the 1993 Grammy-winning Aerosmith hit “Livin' On the Edge” (and 12 other Aerosmith songs) and co-wrote (with Carole King) “The Reason” for Celine Dion, the opening track on her gazillion-selling 1997 album “Let's Talk About Love.” “That song was originally rejected by Aerosmith,” Hudson, 56, said in a telephone interview this week. “I was so broken up. Then Celine Dion did it, and it paid for my divorce, my hair transplant and my (male enhancement). “If you're gonna get rejected, wow, what a way to get rejected. Usually when that happens, the song ends up on your answering machine or the CD becomes an ashtray. This one ended up on an album that sold 28 million copies.” Hudson originally penned the lyrics “In the middle of the night, I'm going down 'cause I adore you, I want to floor you,” with Aerosmith's Steven Tyler in mind. Co-writer King told him there was no way the prim Dion would sing those words. “But we sent her the demo and she loved it,” Hudson said. “Everyone good wants to be bad. She showed up looking like a Q-tip with an accent and said that her favorite part of the song was the "I'm goin down, I want to floor you' line. “It's not very often people interpret a song the way you wrote it, but she did. She had a bit too much ego for me, but she sang the song with tremendous passion.” Was it difficult for Hudson, a guy who produced records for Aerosmith, Ozzy and Ringo, to work with adult-contemporary queen Dion? DisplayAds ('Middle');“I've got this wall of platinum-selling CDs,” he said. “I've got Ozzy, and next to Ozzy is Hanson and next to Hanson is Aerosmith and next to Aerosmith is the Christian rock band Jars of Clay. People wonder, "who is this guy? Is he biopolar?' But a good song is a good song.” Quote
Love, Posted October 26, 2007 at 05:36 AM Posted October 26, 2007 at 05:36 AM (edited) LOLWell, the term "down" is a adverb, adjective, noun, verb, interjection, preposition, slang, etc. etc... so she must have interpreted the word another way. This article, in all of its sexual attributes, is quite an interesting article. For those of you who do not know what the word "fellatio" means, click here. (PG 13) A song is a song, and Celine gave her own "reasons" for recording this song, regardless of this information stating that it was written by a edgy, rock, sexually-charged man... LVCeline Posted October 26, 2007 at 06:15 PM Posted October 26, 2007 at 06:15 PM What a funny story! I always thought the lyrics were "...I want to FLOW you..." Never even thought to check the lyrics, and quite honestly despite my occasionally perverted mind never even put the lyrics together as I'm going down cause I adore you. Very interesting! Quote
