Celine Dion is back and over the next six weeks, Mirror.co.uk will bring you exclusive video blogs from the lady herself. Filmed during the recording of her new album, the footage provides a unique insight into the creative process and Celine herself.

 

With approaching 200 million career sales worldwide, 968 Platinum Awards, 6 Grammys and 2 Academy Awards, the Canadian diva returns in full force this November. Her new album ‘Taking Chances’ confirms Celine’s vocal supremacy is as breathtaking and effortless as ever.

 

For the last four and a half years Celine has been performing with a cast of 50 musicians and dancers in a spectacular sold-out live show, A New Day... in Las Vegas. Throughout her residency at Caesar’s Palace she has performed an incredible 700 shows with over 4 million tickets sold and singing to 4,000 fans every night. Celine’s final Vegas show takes place this December 15th.

 

The album ‘Taking Chances’ shows a change of mood, revealing a diverse mix of guitar-laden rock arrangements, classic pop ballads and uptempo showstoppers. The contemporary musical direction will surprise many and doubtless thrill her UK fans.

 

The title track and first single (released October 29) was written by Dave Stewart and Kara DioGuardi (Natasha Bedingfield/Kelly Clarkson/Pink/Gwen Stefani). Other songwriting contributors include Ben Moody (Evanescence), Ne-Yo, John Shanks and Tricky.

 

Celine embarks on a world tour next year which kicks off in South Africa on February 14th.

Thats a great article!! yay. I agree with you, i hope people do go on the website, and not just us - if they do she will sure sell more records. Does that mean if it is on the website, that The Mirror have taken an interest to Celine and will start writing more about her?! Good things anyway - One can only hope!!
