neilg Posted October 15, 2007 at 10:40 PM Posted October 15, 2007 at 10:40 PM (edited) I always wondered what happens to the public when Céline cancels due to illness. When I saw her in Las Vegas, I had been planning for months booking the hotel, the flights, and good tickets. Then I thought, omg, what happens if she's ill?! I had an 11 hour flight to get to the USA, and would not know what to do if the show was canceled. The only reason I was in America was to see Celine. Then i read this: http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/article331780.ece Edited October 15, 2007 at 10:51 PM by neilg Quote
speedy Posted October 15, 2007 at 10:46 PM Posted October 15, 2007 at 10:46 PM Well, first of all Celine is a human been so she can the rights to be ill, we know that she is a superstar and she has to give to her fans everything but nobody is perfect.I fell really sad for all those people how find their shows cancel but you can not do more to put her back and sing.Indeed 3.000.000 people have seen here Quote
Shaun Posted October 15, 2007 at 10:47 PM Posted October 15, 2007 at 10:47 PM Well frankly nothing happens. You of course get a refund on the tickets you bought but then you just get on with the rest of your holiday and hope you can catch Celine in concert some other time. celinerific Posted October 15, 2007 at 10:48 PM Posted October 15, 2007 at 10:48 PM (edited) It happens. It sucks for people who've travelled extremely long distances, but it's not Celine's fault. She doesn't want to be sick, she doesn't ask to be sick. And like Celine said... she won't back out just because of a little cold, she'll only back out when something more severe happens, like bronchitis, or her gasterotitis (whatever it was lol). But you know, c'est la vie. We all have to move on even though it's hard. stevethefan Posted October 15, 2007 at 10:53 PM Posted October 15, 2007 at 10:53 PM Yeah believe it or not Celine is human (I think) and she gets the same ilnesses that we all get from time to time. It is unfortunate for those that spent a lot of money, time, planning, traveling to get to Las Vegas but it's the chance you take. From what I've read she tries to keep herself in good shape/health so she does as much as she can to make sure she does not disappoint her fans. Quote

ByuSmurf Posted October 16, 2007 at 02:02 AM Posted October 16, 2007 at 02:02 AM Articles like that can only make Céline feel worse than she already does. She is indeed human and you can't imagine how hard the Vegas climate has been on her.The coulliseum (and her home) has humidity pumped in for a reason. She can't be in extreme air-conditioned places.Going outside is a danger to her health because of the extreme lack of humidity.Céline takes EVERY precaution to keep from getting sick but sometimes Sh!t happens!! I was only there for three days and suffered from severe nose bleeds, as I am from an extremely humid climate. I know people get disappointed when they spend so much money to go see Céline in Vegas, but they should have also made plans to do something else in case she HAD to cancel!! I had plans to tour the Hoover Dam and drive to Laughlin if she had cancelled the shows I was attending. I didn't get to do those two things, but I did get to tour OTHER casinos on the strip, did some shopping, played arcade games at Circus Circus, went to a Karaoke Bar, went to OTHER shows and had an amazing time. Seeing Céline in concert was just the icing on the cake!! Vegas is a GAMBLERS town... and they bet too much and lost. Losers = weepers! Filine Posted October 16, 2007 at 12:34 PM Posted October 16, 2007 at 12:34 PM I think I showed that DVD just one time only to make up for a cancelled show. I just flew out to Vegas when Céline cancelled the entire show week in april 2006 due to a severe case of labyrintitis. Of course I was very sad I didn't get to see her, but I also felt deeply for Céline. It's not something she likes to do because she knows people fly in from all corners of the world to see her. We wrote a get-well soon card and bought some presents for her and made the best out of it. I decided to go back to see her in january and got to meet her...It was just meant to be...I believe that. If she hadn't canceled I would have never gone back in January. Quote http://www.celinedion.nl/pics/cindy/bannerza.jpg"They call my home the land of snow, Canadian cold front movin' in"

Filine Posted October 16, 2007 at 02:35 PM Posted October 16, 2007 at 02:35 PM Don't they show the DVD material on the LCD screen? Nope, they did it just one time...way back in 2004 or so Quote http://www.celinedion.nl/pics/cindy/bannerza.jpg"They call my home the land of snow, Canadian cold front movin' in"
neilg Posted October 17, 2007 at 11:39 AM Author Posted October 17, 2007 at 11:39 AM Im surprised this man wasn't more concerned for Céline's health - he said he's an obsessive fan who collects everything that she's ever appeared on - I thought maybe he would be worried for her health a bit more. I mean, gastroenteritis is a really nasty condition! Quote

KimboCosmo Posted October 18, 2007 at 03:03 AM Posted October 18, 2007 at 03:03 AM Well, as bad as it sucks...it happens, and I'm scared to death that something will happen while I'm there, but I'm just praying and hoping that nothing will. I really think airlines and hotels should refund 100% when things like that happens. For me, that is the only reason I am going to Vegas, otherwise I probably would have never gone. So I have my fingers crossed! Quote http://img143.imageshack.us/img143/2765/48940711.png "You know you're in love when you can't fall asleep, because reality is finally better than your dreams."
