So you think Celine doing playback is a fraud? Or that nothing can tip the Milli Vanilli scandal? Well, this is even better: Ever heard of British pianist Joyce Hatto? Turns out her husband/manager digitally manipulated other pianists recordings to sell them as hers. The interesting part is that everyone from listeners to music critics fell for them and gave her praise for those recordings - the fraud was discovered (what irony) earlier this year by using the digital against the digital, ie. by checking the discs with Gracenotes data base
