Mediabase (which is a bit different from Billboard) ranks "Taking Chances at #44 on eh AC chart with 47 spins for last week's survey (sep9 - 15). But if the chart is sorted by the audience impression (which means how many people have heard the song based on the ratings of those radio stations), then TC would enter the chart at #14. Billboard ranks the songs based on audience impression unlike Mediabase. So look for a high entry next week on the Billboard AC chart.

when sony will send the song officially to the radio stations & if she gives it too much promotion, i guess it will go straight to number One spot. we still hvae to see how next week the song will do on the charts when it will be played in many radio stations

It's actually 6 radio stations. But the NYC station spinned the song 20 times and the have a huge audience so that's why it'll have higher entry than expected.

I don't think that Z100 plays her music, so it's a tough sell to get her on that station. Have they even played TC yet? It's not on their playlist. Maybe we should try to get her on the stations that are more likely to play her music and get her to top the AC chart (it's better than nothing). Maybe our energies should be spent getting stations that like her music to play it, than fighting a losing battle of getting stations that don't normally play her music in the first place to play it now. I would like to see her top the AC chart, that is more of a possiblity than her topping a chart that deals with stations like Z100, we should stick to stations like Lite FM and WALK 97.5. I can understand everyone wanting her to top the Top 40 charts, but let's face it, when is the last time that happened? At least with HYEBIL she was at # 2 on the AC chart. I can see TC topping that chart if we get stations like WLTW Lite FM and WALK to keep playing it!

To request her on Z100 by SMS, you must send the message to 55100 and the message must say REQUEST Taking

 

Yesterday I was able to text that number and CC it several times on one text message so maybe you guys can try the same technique. Z100 is probably the most influential station in the world. Its VERY important that they play this song!!

Does anyone have any means of comparison? For example how quickly did the "A New Day Has Come" single rise up the AC charts in America? Was that song being received as slowly as this one is by radio?

she is still sooooooooooo far away from debuting on the billboard hot 100...i know that britney has an audience of around 20 million people and her single flops . TC is at 4 million...

things can still get better but i think our only chance is with the legal downloads...
