Just curious about peoples opinions on the TC memberships. This question is mainly for US members where Celine will no longer be performing in a venue like Vegas. IE 5 nights/week for ever.

Now that Celine is leaving Vegas, and the only real benefit the membership has is ticket purchases, is it really worth the $25 to support "the operation" of a website that doesn't give back 1/2 as much as this forum does? :hmm:

The reason I ask is that I let my membership expire at the end of last month. I thought to renew but realistically, what for? She won't be accessible in a venue like this ever again. Maybe some day she will come to a theater nearby for a 1 or two nighter. But that won't likely be for some years. And I am sure I won't be buying tickets for shows around the world. This forum offers more photos, videos etc., than TC ever has.

How many of you will let your membership drop now that there are "no more" shows available?

Am I right, or am I right, or am I right? :thumbsup2:

I miss the way the old fan club operated. We would get random gifts, gifts on Christmas, notices, leaflets, and discounts on everything not just "certain" items. The fan club card also got you really good seats in concerts. I don't like how it's being operated now. The exclusive stuff we don't even have access too until the rest of the world does.

I imagine it will be useful until Celine is done promoting TAKING CHANCES. US Fans, don't forget that she'll most likely tour our country, so that will be helpful that way (since she sells out so quickly).

I got my membership this year. I seriously waited that long to get it (and I've been a fan since the club began). I just wanted exclusive stuff for the new albums, but that doesn't work that way, does it? LOL

Despite the fact that the TC website dosn`t have its act together half the time, I still renewed because its good for good seats at her shows and maybe some press junkets for Taking Chances. And honestly if I never joined, I would never been introduced to this awsome forum by one of you :)

I think it's well worth the money. With just one ticket for A New Day... I got my money back for one year. We get the chance to buy tickets to her world tour in great areas in advance. We get exclusivities, thought not many, I couldn't live with myself knowing there's something out there with Celine within my reach that I would refuse to pay for. :giggle: So I'm paying. Besides, I think it's cheap, 25$ is really not a lot. And Celine is not retiring, not even her world tour. She's got years and years of amazing career left, I'm sure Team Celine membership will come in handy years to come.

I'll renew mine. I don't see any problem... We've gotta lot of benefits...

CELINE, I'M SO PROUD OF LOVING YOU.

I joined TC when she first started in Vegas so I could get the very first set of tickets. I've never really seen the value beyond that.

I was a member of the International Fan Club and when they switched over to TC I continued my membership there. BUT after the problems that I've been having the last few weeks, NO, I will probably NOT renew. They haven't had any NEW renewal gifts and really don't offer that much exclusive stuff that you couldn't find somewhere else on the net. I'll wait to see if they straighten out the problems and when my subscription expires in February...I'll consider this question again.

It's $2.08 a month.

That won't even buy me a cup of coffee at Starbucks.

I see that Celine will have many more World Tours after Vegas. Singing and performing is her life. With TeamCeline Pre-sales and offers, one discount would pay off for one year of membership already. The priceless-ness of being able to be at Celine's shows and to be close, because of that TeamCeline advantage is superb. Back in January, during the DVD taping, I don't think I would've gotten to sit in 2nd row, center aisle, if it weren't for TeamCeline. I'm glad I did, and now I was able to be a part of the DVD of one of the most amazing shows in the history of showbiz.

I agree with that.

I suppose when I hear that she will be on tour again in the US, I will renew or "Join Again." to get tickets. U see, that really is the only benefit isn't it? Really. What else would motivate you to join. Could it be the stupid trinkets (mostly for women), or "exclusive video" (haha), or Christmas wishes, or a generic birthday letter written by the TC staff, or that little plastic I.D. card, or 25 seconds of a new song that is probably published in full somewhere on the net? Hmmm :hmm: The real benefit is here at the forum. Not that I would want to pay for it but that would be worth $25 for sure. The content is much better.

And yes a great seats pays for the membership, but I don't expect to see Celine tour in the US California area anytime soon so it is just wasted money 'til then. And looking at the typical Celine concert on stage, even front row at that type of venue would be like Row NN at the Colosseum. (see Au Cœur de Stade) Never again will we get so close! Unless it's Vegas. :msn-wink:
