I was a crying mess when I watched this so sorry if it's not 100% accurate. And remember she talked about the procedures. If this kind of thing grosses you out... don't read it.

 

Celine said it can happen to anyone. And it was rather frustrating for her not being able to have a child because she has such a big family, her mother had 14. It only made it worse. She couldn't understand what was wrong with her. And she used to say: "I don't understand, we love each other so much, why can't we have a baby? We love each other more than anyone else, we are the most passionate couple in the world, why can't we have a baby?".

 

She ended up telling herself it wouldn't happen. She said that maybe they would never have a baby because life had given them so much, it was like a price to pay for her wonderful life.

 

Then René got sick and everything changed. They had to freeze his sperm. She said she had her hopes very high by then.

 

She told about the injections she had to go through. She had to inject herself with some hormone thing every day and she didn't really like it. It made her ovaries swollen and it hurted when she moved too fast or make and hard movment. She travelled during this treatment and she was scared to death with the idea of loosing her injections.

 

She talked about her ova being retrieved from her uterus, it didn't hurt. She had 16. The doctors put the sperm in each ovum and they had to wait 3 days to know if it had worked, before putting it back into her uterus. She was very nervous, she couldn't hardly breathe.

 

The day she found out she was pregnat she had just eaten her breakfast and her doctor called her. He only said "Congratulations". She burst in tears. René was crying too. Her sister and brother in law cried too, it was very emotional.

 

She was very nervous for her first ultrasound when she was supposed to listen to the baby's heart. She was afraid it wouldn't be there. She couldn't even look at the monitor. When the doctor told her "there it is" she just looked up to the sky and thanked God. Then she looked at the monitor and saw the baby (RC!!!!!) and he was sooooooo tiny. That's when she realised how beautiful and fragile the miracle of life his.

 

When they discovered she was pregnant with a baby boy both her and René cried. She asked him if he was happy with the boy. He said he was. She told him she understood him because now his only daughter would be forever is little girl. And he said no. He was just happy because it was a boy to take care of her one day when he can't take care of her anymore. [Ok, I was sobbing when she said that]

 

She has a frozen embrio, 5 days old. It has more chances to develop because it's two days older than RC's embrio (he was 3 days old). She is keeping him and wants to give him a change. She won't have to go through the whole procedure.

 

She said it's so unfair that someone people have kids and abuse them and hurt them while other people want a baby so bad and would turn out to be a great parent... and can't have.

 

 

Most of this was already said before but I'd never seen her talking about it. It broke my heart.

Also, what made me cry too was the stories of other people. Julie Snyder had to try 3 times. The second time she had a positive test but there was no baby. It was devastating.

 

Another woman had had several miscarriages and by the end of the program she was telling she was in debt and it would take years to pay the failed treatments. She was thinking about adoption already.

 

And there was this one who got pregnant and delivered twins. Bless her heart.

 

I felt so sorry for these people. It absolutely broke my heart. I'm very sensitive for this kind of thing.

She almost cried. She was teary all the time. It's hard to talk about this, I guess.

i can't even imagine how hard it must be to be so in love & want a child so badly and not be able to get pregnant on your own. its one of the gifts of being a woman... so i can understand celine feeling like there was something wrong with her. i am so glad that her dreams came true and she was able to have rene charles. she is a fabulous mother and more parents in the world today should be like her! rene charles is a very lucky boy!

OMG, it was so touching... It kills me to know that many people have kids, avort themselfs, or don't treat them well, and so many good people try everything, could pay so many money to just try and didn't get the baby they want so much... Life is so weird sometimes
