Recommended Posts

On the album "Celine Dion" Celine speaks in French at the beginning of the song "Love Can Move Mountains".

Does anyone know what these words are in French?

Thank you / Merci !!!

I have never heard of this song having any french lyrics at the beginning. Perhaps someone else can help.

Le monde est dans nos yeux

WOOOOW! After all these years I never knew what she was saying. That's so classic.

Thank you!

How come you don't have this wonderful album love, ? I can't believe it! I just love it!!

About the intro, I had never actually paid attention to what she said, but now that you mentioned it I realize it's so beautiful! I'm gonna listen to it more carefully now! :msn-wink:

The self-titled album is her best English album so far. It's purely emotional and without any David Foster schtick. It's just amazing!

I love the intro, it's so beautiful. But I wish it was in a separate track. :P

I didn't know that. Nice message. I miss my Celine Dion albums. I'm working in another province and I didn't bring any Celine Dion album with me. Huhuhu....

I've noticed that in the intro and I always wondered what she was saying! Wow! It's really really classy and beautiful! Perfect intro for the album!

Thank you for the translation!

I love the intro..I used to play the intro over and over again.

"Today, I’m a person on a path of connecting with my source and understanding that I am on the leading edge of creation.."

I think only U.S. version doesn't have separate tracks (?). In Japan version, they're separate. ^_^

THANK YOU VERY MUCH for the translation !!!!!!

to all of you who thanked me for the translation, know that you are more than welcome...

not to brag, but i do posess a 4-year translation degree from an ontario university, so yah, i tend to do pretty well with both FRENCH and ENGLISH...

if you ever have any questions, i can help, but please, don't make me translate long passages or lyrics, ok, as this takes so much time, and is so delicate; ask TIM RICE!

peace, all!

It's separated in France too.

But she's not saying "j'espère" : she's saying "jt'y perd [je t'y perd]". It means "I lose you there".

Maybe you could learn me french?! :shifty: She's saying "Jt'y perds", no doubt about it. I can understand my own language, believe me.

Thank you so much, I didn't know what she says in that track, because it's too silent and unrecognizable to myself. But as I see the words they seem to be very simple, I can understand them in French. Thanks once again :thumbsup2:

"Presque" à la perfection, serais-je tenté de rectifié... lol sans rancune :flowers:

Bah! Tu peux rectifier tant que tu voudras, c'est bel et bien "J'espère" ;) As-tu le livre de musique de l'album "Celine Dion"??
Posted

well, you know, sometimes the text from the booklet isn't really the text she sings on the record. there are mistakes or small corrections.

I was also tempted to say it is "j't'y perds" but I think she speaks with French Canadian accent and it probably is "j'espere".

but it kinda sounds as a "j't'y perds". but is it that important?
