favorite album introducing songs...

the first track on an album is very important to kick off the feel and direction of an album. when producing and arranging tracks, the first is the most significant!

 

i am not asking, which song did the best at kicking its corresponding album off, but it seems with a lot of artists the first track gets special attention, often being singles, favorites etc. so of the first tracks... which is the best?

 

*for her french greatest hits because of their being viriations on disc 2 and 3, i left them out!

I Believe Im Alive was the best choice for the first track because the song starts the CD off with a band because Celine starts it off WITHOUT Music and people can here how good her vocals are....

In my opinion the newCD should start without music again for the 1st track on the CD

IACBTMN is just so dynamic from start to finish. Celine is such a powerhouse in that song. The piano solo in the beginning is so subtle and just gives way to this amazing masterpiece. I don't think there's anyone out there who can sing this song like her and it just gives the listener a preview of what to expect throughout the entire album.

I agree! Concerning the English album openers it is a perfect choice.

Concerning the French ones, my choice is Et s'il n'en restait qu'une(je serais celle-la).

I have to disagree. If the album that the live version to "Let's Talk About Love" appeared on was for an English concert I'd have a different opinion, but opening a FRENCH live concert with an ENGLISH song? Huh? Did I miss something? A better choice would have been to open the show with one of Celine's rockier and/or uptempo French numbers such as "Regarde-moi," "J'irai où tu iras," "Dans un autre monde," etc.

 

That's just my two cents.

Maybe i'm alone alone with this opinion but I just ADORE Je Crois Toi as opeber and as song itself. Such an outstanding and different song in Celine's repertoire! My choice!
