At least that's what it feels like to me.

Whether that's what it actually sounds like might depend on what the listener brings to the songs."

She sings the crap out of Le Blues, and Quan on n'a. They are incredible performances, as is the entire concert, but these two stand out above the rest.

My favourites are: Le blues... , Quand on n'a que l'amour, l'amour existe encore et calling you.

Nowadays the DVD version is available! But I guess you already know that? (For the people that haven't seen it yet...)

By the way, during the concert registration of Au Coeur du Stade the song S'il Suffisait D'aimer is the most touching ever

Zora sourit released in S'Il Suffisait d'Aimer album in 1998, not D'eux. Live A Paris was in 1996. impossible for her to sing that there.

Celine sings my fav French song in this concert

Ja'Attaindais...I just think that Celine puts so much emotion in this...

But I agree with everyone else who has said Le Blues Du Businessman..Celine always sings this song so pwerfully makes the hairs stand up on your neck...everyime I listen to it...I always have to say "That was awesome Celine" even though I know she can't here me..

God look after you Celine Dion and all your family & friends you are a wonderful gift and I am truly blessed and lucky enough to have been around from 1968 to today to witness you blossom into a national treasure................. much love always xxxx

LVCeline, I agree with you, Le Blues Du Businessman and Quand On N'a Que L'amour... forgive me if I spelled that wrong, are, I believe the two best performances of this concert and arguably, her entire career. Quand On Na... is simply and utterly breathtaking. Especially since it is filmed in black and white and parts of it are in slow motion. It is also enhanced by the way she grips the mike stand with both hands, folding them over one another for almost the entire song ( something I haven't seen her do often) And yes, she sings the crap out of Le Blues Du Businessman - and I haven't heard her sing it this well or powerfully in any other performance, although, Live A Olympia comes very close. I would also have to say that the Calling You performance on this concert would be my third favorite as she sings the crap out of THAT as well. haha However, EVERY performance on this video is no less than her best. It's hard to pick just two.

Now, to Mozinha and koolan...and everyone else who hasn't seen the concert or even all of it... I would tell anyone who's not familiar with Celine (and I know that you guys are) to see this video FIRST before all others. This a true testimate to the performer that she is. It is not like the Live in Memphis concert, nor the Au Coeur du Stade concert. It portrays a completley different mood and atmosphere. This is also a true testimate to what she can do with her voice, especially during the Le Ballet sequence ( OMG) And I'm sure you've all heard this if you own the album of this concert. But one does not get the sheer power of her performances by simply listening to them. Because it is available for purchase and EXISTS, I highly recommend you see this concert. One hasn't seen ANYTHING she can do, until they see this show. From the opening of J'attandais as we see her nervously pace in her dressing room and then make her way to the stage to the the final song, Vole, sung graceful and powerful to the point of tears as she weeps the final words to the audience. This is the concert that made me fully realize the raw talent this woman has. I feel it is a very special performance. I wish we had it on DVD!!

Celinefreak is absolutely right.

In fact, Live A Paris is the first full Video of Celine's that I saw - and it's arguably still the best. When Celine sings in French, there is an energy and exhilaration that you just don't get in English (which she sings darn well anyway - much better than any native English/American performer on the pop scene now). You just cannot change your blood!

Do yourself a favour - BUY a copy of the Live A Paris DVD.

I like J'Irai ou Tu Iras, and also Les Derniers Seront Les Premiers, and Vole is veyr touching, not just because of the song and the way she delivers it, but because of the story and her personal involvement behind it.

My post somehow got lost :angry2: Anyway, CelineFreak very well written :) I was just saying that you could tell that she puts so much energy and emotion in the songs from those pics. I'm definitely going to watch the ENTIRE concert on my spare time :w00t: The DVD is available in some countries only.

It it not available in DVD where you live I suggest you get the VHS. I have the VHS of it and it is marvalous. I watch it a least 6 times a year and many years much more. I have 2 extra copies of it in case one wears out.

I'd definitely say Le Ballet. Her vocals with the instruments are the cleanest I've heard in all the versions I've listened to. Her ad libs to introduce her backup singers are amazing.

Do you know where I can find the clip of Le Ballet from LAP?
