Why couldn't Celine release an album at a different time, without all of the others releasing their's, and taking the attention off Celine? It's been years since we've heard from the others, it figures that they would all release a new album when Celine is releasing her's.

I personally think it's a great thing. The market is all about competition (whether Celine thinks so or not) and the fact that everyone will be releasing singles and albums at the same time means Celine will HAVE to produce something of quality for radio and media to pay attention to it. Good healthy competition.

The ladies mentioned in the poll are finished vocally (Mariah, Whitney) or artistically (Janet, Madonna) so theoretically speaking they are no competition for the one and true vocal talent of Céline's that prevailed. What will promote their music if they can't carry a tune in a bucket or hide behind fake pretence of artistry?

 

Céline is an agile artist and entertainer. She will do her best to make this album successful without exaggerating like Mariah does. Céline will make this album have legs as she herself will be responsible for the success or failure. Sony is not even an option as usual.
