(I think Christina Aguilera would also qualify as a future gay icon )

We are all humans and Celine is a ICON to all People not Just Gays So I dont know what you mean about GAY ICON

 

I am NOT GAY for sure and I'm a huge Celine Fan.. Im Confusssed on how Gays have a certain type of music MUSIC is MUSIC no matter what

Well this thread is a gay oriented thread, so in terms of an Icon - yes Celine is an Icon to many but I was

only referring to the gay community in this case. It's kinda hard to understand if you are not gay or haven't been

around gay people a lot. I'll try to explain a little though - gay men (in general) feel a bit repressed and we look up to strong singers for inspiration - singers with BIG voices (to a previous post - that's why I didn't mention madonna) who sing very emotionally. That really gets to us in particular, so over the years certain singers have become gay icons. Of course other singers/performers/celebrities (ie Martina Navratilova, Elizabeth Taylor, madonna) have become gay icons for other reasons too, like their support for the gay community, etc.

 

Hope that helps...anyone else wanna add to that??? Help me out here folks.

Haha, I was there with a friend (row 3 orchestra 4) on June27, 07. There were 3 guys sitting beside us, and we saw them out at the bar later on...was a good bonding experience LOL.

 

I want to go back in December. What part of the month are you guys going?

I'm gonna bring a list of clubs/bars that we can go to. I think Krave is a popular one and

it's on the Strip but it'll be on the pricey side for drinks and entrance fee. There's others though

that more of the locals go to.

Pirannah is nice too. It is near the Hard Rock, next to the Gipsy. Both have a good crowd and great Go Go Boy dancers.

Ahh cool, I was looing for some info from someone who's been. Isn't there 2 clubs within a club

with Piranah? I read it's pretty cool inside with the tanks and all. I think that's the area they call

the "Fruit Loop" - LOL. Gipsy is very popular too, sounds like fun to hit tha area a few nights. We

get in next week - will u still be there?
