Ray Posted February 10, 2008 at 07:18 PM Posted February 10, 2008 at 07:18 PM Is Nothing Sacred is a nice song, the finest left over we have heard, but I still question it being album material, so I can see that as a clear reason to excluding it /fred Well, if you listen to the Let's talk about love album... I can only think of ONE (yes, just one!) song that beats Is Nothing Sacred. (And of course I mean Tell Him). So not only would it have been great album material, it would have given her another #1 smash hit single! I'm so sure of it! It's All Coming Back To Me Now is already a classic, which still gets lots of airplay. As is the case with Making Love Out Of Nothing At All, Total Eclipse Of The Heart, etc. etc. etc. Luckily for Mr. Steinman, there are artists who did record Is Nothing Sacred for their album. It's a shame Céline let this diamond slip through her hand in favor of b-side material like Why Oh Why, Love Is On The Way, Miles To Go, Us, Where Is The Love... Jeffieboi Posted February 11, 2008 at 12:33 AM Posted February 11, 2008 at 12:33 AM I agree that I would lurve to have Celine record with Steinman again, but...doesn't anyone remember that he's a frickin' lunatic? Quote
bfhb Posted February 15, 2008 at 12:31 AM Posted February 15, 2008 at 12:31 AM pandoras box by steinman is a great album with some gems still waitin to be found....safe sex ...original sin ....good girls ......celine would be brilliant as always on them...they are dramatic and emotional like her ...so they would really suit her...would love to see celine do some show songs...not memory/cats....but more recent musicals more modern styles ....she really needs a great song a fire cracker of a song where u sit up and take notice of it ....but alas they are v hard to find ... one thing about steinman's songs ...u never ignore them !!!is nothing sacred ... has a great performance from celine ...for me she made the song come alive !! more of that please Quote love doesn't ask whyspeaks from the heart and never explainsdont you know that love doesn't think twiceit can come all at once or whisper from a distance
RLAAMJR. Posted February 16, 2008 at 04:50 AM Author Posted February 16, 2008 at 04:50 AM The original version which was recorded by Pandora's Box was also good. I was wondering why it didn't really become a hit those days. Pandora's box have a great version for the song and the guitar solo was cool. Celine's version is the best for me for a fact that the voice is amazing as well as the video. Meatloaf's version with Marion Raven was also good. I never thought of a duet for this song. And it did well. Hmmm.... i think, all of them were released on November at different years. Quote

lesfrancaise Posted February 26, 2008 at 10:25 AM Posted February 26, 2008 at 10:25 AM how sad and like so greedy after all... Well I love jim steinman's masterpieces such as Making Love Out Of Nothing At All, It's All Coming Back To Me Now and Total Eclipse of the Heart... these songs were strongly powerful ballads.... and it'll be awful to hear if Steinman won't share his talnt and music to Ms Dion anymore Quote

I would really , really want Celine to record a Jim Steinman composition. I'm sure it's something really we look forward to. Hmmm.... I might try looking for a good song from Jim and recoommend it here. Perhaps someone might notice and Sony might take consideration and make it one of the songs to be included in celine's next english album Quote
Sarit31 Posted March 16, 2008 at 11:02 AM Posted March 16, 2008 at 11:02 AM I love "Making Love (Out of Nothing At All)" by Bonnie Tyler, but I find it sad that a lot of people don't realize that she recorded it first. I mean, there are quite few cover versions out there, which is OK, of course (and I think maybe Celine should give it a go too), but when people say "it was first recorded by...", it annoys me. I blame it on the fact that, from what I have read), the EastWest record company badly marketed Bonnie's CD "Free Spirit"... Anyway... Just thought I'd mention it. Quote
Dionism Posted March 16, 2008 at 12:20 PM Posted March 16, 2008 at 12:20 PM I find Let's Talk About Love the worst album ever of Celine and this article explains to me why that is so. None of the songs from that album (the European version that is, the one without To Love You More) appears on my favourite songs list. None. I would not want to spend my time to just listen to the whole album entirely, I think my mind would wander away anyway if I did. I do sometimes listen to one or two of the songs on the abum but only to have a contrast with the much better songs on other albums, because after a Let's Talk About Love-song they sound twice as good! Cause without bad albums, there would be no good ones, would there? Apart form the hit song My Heart Will Go On, people only bought the album because they expected it to be as good as the previous Falling Into You. These two were the main reasons why the album sold so much. There are numerous people I know who were so dissappointed by Let's Talk About Love, after they bought it, that their interest in Celine was ended in no time. They simply didn't listen to her later albums anymore, simply because there were no real hit songs from later albums to change their minds again. LTAL is so overrated. i only like, i think 4 songs out of 16 tracks. and the sound quality of the cd is very poor. back to topic, where's Mr. Steinman? is he still alive?lol it's been a long time since i last heard of him. and jim only has 1 hit song for miss dion. David Foster is the perfect match for celine. Quote
GoldenLeaf Posted March 16, 2008 at 04:39 PM Posted March 16, 2008 at 04:39 PM (edited) Celine should record ''Total Eclipse of the Heart''. That would be so great! Also I'd like to see her singing with Bonnie Tyler because their voice would fit perfectly together. Edited March 16, 2008 at 04:40 PM by Calypso Quote
