Céline's Blues Posted July 16, 2007 Posted July 16, 2007 http://images.pollstar.com/adverts/pollsta...rTop100Tours.pd Céline is doing pretty well in this years Mid-Year's tour grosses chart. She comes in at #4 with blasting $41 milion! Also a recent article mentioned how she is one of many vintage artists that seem to get respectable sales numbers of their albums:U2, Bruce Springsteen, Prince, Celine Dion, Eric Clapton, Elton John, Dave Matthews Band and the ever-touring Jimmy Buffett also all continue to sell large amounts of old records. http://www.foxnews.com/wires/2007Jul16/0,4...lassics,00.html It's as far interesting as the one we don't talk about or mention here'a Sony catalogue seems to be doing miserableissimente: Though one of the best selling artists of all time, the one we don't talk about or mention here's self-titled debut sold a measly 5,000 copies last year. Shaun Posted July 16, 2007 Posted July 16, 2007 As of the end of June 07 Celine had performed 75 "A New Day..." shows so far this year meaning that on average each performance of the show takes in somewhere close to $550,000. Those are staggering numbers! Obviously the show finishes in December but I just wonder how long Celine could've kept it going in Vegas as it shows no signs of slowing down. Bellamy Posted July 16, 2007 Posted July 16, 2007 Revenues from the top 100 North American concert tours through the first half of the year reached $1.05 billion U.S., up 2.9 per cent from 12 months earlier, according to live music industry magazine, Pollstar. The top dog was Rod Stewart, who grossed $48.1 million while charging an average ticket price of $76.93. He was followed by Justin Timberlake ($42.3 million and $73.83) and The Police ($41.9 million and $115.79). The Police are expected to top the year-end tally, as most of their American dates are in the second half of the year. Celine Dion's Las Vegas shows raked in $41.8 million via tickets averaging $137.36 each, putting her in fourth place. Another production with both Canadian and Vegas connections, Cirque Du Soleil's Delirium ($30.0 million and $80.24), ranked eighth. The other Canadians in the top 50 were Nickelback at #31 ($10.4 million and $45.91) and The Tragically Hip at #47 ($6.7 million and $36.01). The average ticket price for the top 100 tours was $58.61, up just 50 cents from last year.http://www.chartattack.com/damn/2007/07/1606.cfm Quote Please support the forum by ordering everything through our special Amazon.com link Click here. Teodora Posted September 7, 2007 Posted September 7, 2007 That's great! She may lose one or two places, because she's not performing half of December, but it's still impressive. And about the Forbes video: of course she'll outsell Britney & Co. Even if Britney will have a huge exposure on MTV, she's opening some MTV Awards with her new song etc. Even if Celine is not on top of the charts with her latest album, she stills sales more records per year, because all her records still sell like crazy. You don't see people still buying Britney's older records, or Mariah's, like they mentioned, but people are still buying D'eux, Falling into You or Let's Talk About Love and so on. Go Celine! Go Celine! Quote

RLAAMJR. Posted September 8, 2007 Posted September 8, 2007 Celine will never get poor. Especially is she still has her beautiful voice which could drive all people in the world to gather in one place and just listen Celine singing. Celine has been doing well with her Las Vegas shows that's why I'm suggesting that she should have shows in China before, during and after the Olypic games 2008. Surely, she'll have more Celine Dion fans in china and will boost her records. Quote
