MalaysiaCeline Posted July 9, 2007 at 12:33 PM Posted July 9, 2007 at 12:33 PM listen to S'il suffisait d'aimer french album.....just found that not only D'eux and D'elles are both great...this french album of Celine entitled "S'il suffisait d'aimer" is so great as well.....all the songs in this album are bravo..and vocally Celine sounded so beautiful....and i had just found out a song which i usually skip in this album called "Sur Le Meme Bateau"...the lyric is perfect...a song that sharing all people are the same ...no class....all the same...started of with so calm and people cheeering sound....bird flying..wind blow....so tender and soft.....slowly it become more intense with all the gas and working sound from the ship with Celine soaring.....i couldnt never believe that such a beautiful song Celine didnt release it as a single and a video to it.....the choir at the back is awesome..Celine belting in this song is great..i dont find any song in the album "D'elles" give me this impact...S'il n'en restait qu'une (je serais celle-là) not even close to this even Celine did belt out in this song.... Just imagine the video of this song.... Started if with a big ship like Titanic....with all the nice breeeze and birds flying.....ocean and sky blue.....and the camera pan to Celine singing softly and emotionally on the ship.....and then it showing the different class of those elits and working class....a montage cutting to show different view in the ship....the elegant..the poor..the pretty and the handsome....then thunder storm.comes...everyone is so fragiles and no more diffrentiation of class.....then Celine singing in the heavy thunder storm....and soaring.....i can imagine this could turn out to be a good video as good as IACBTMN.. Celine vocally is so good in this song....listen carefully...she is good she is a true diva...Forever Celine Quote http://aycu26.webshots.com/image/29945/2002084162406147433_rs.jpg "Taking Chances"...All Malaysian pls standby for the best album release in the year of 2007....

ONCP, JCT and TLBSEPT are my favs! btw... where's your pic from your avatar from?? do you have a bigger one? Esty Posted July 9, 2007 at 01:07 PM Posted July 9, 2007 at 01:07 PM Yes, it is a great song. Very dramatic. It would fit well in a musical! I like the message of the song. And the melody how it builds up from a slow calm song to the near bombastic end with the chorus.SISDA may be old, but I do not think it is outdated. It is a Celine classic album. Quote
LVCeline Posted July 9, 2007 at 01:38 PM Posted July 9, 2007 at 01:38 PM This is one of my favorite songs of hers! It's one of those that start off very nice and calm and then build to a huge dramatic ending like TYLAM. I love these kinds of songs, and she's the best at them! I love the lyrics of the songs as well. She sings it fantastically. Quote
celinedionfan Posted July 9, 2007 at 02:15 PM Posted July 9, 2007 at 02:15 PM I liked it from the very first time I heard it! I like Celine's voice on this song and the music is wonderful! Like d'eux would the first date and SSDM the huge love of them. I really love this album and all of the tracks because they wouldn't made it better i think. Quote IstiHungarian Fan Club

PrincesseJen Posted July 10, 2007 at 12:06 AM Posted July 10, 2007 at 12:06 AM A few year's ago is when I started buying Celine's french albums. Around 2003. I had only her english albums. I wanted to learn french so it gave me the excuse I needed to get more of her albums (I own EVEYTHING of hers now). S'il Suffisait D'aimer was and is my favorite Celine french album. When I first listened to "Sur le meme bateau" I couldn't understand everything. I thought it was just about a nice boat ride. So I went online to get the translations. I read the translation for the first time while listening to the song again. I was suprised how the direction of the song was different from what I thought. I was so moved by the end I was crying my eyes out. I still do everytime I hear it. Quote http://i188.photobucket.com/albums/z30/Sarahj21230/Celine%20and%20Josh/pinkroseCeline-1.jpg

Joe Posted July 11, 2007 at 08:28 PM Posted July 11, 2007 at 08:28 PM Ooh, Sur le même bateau! I had a serious crush on this song when I bought the album. It was actually my first touch with Céline's French material, and before that I never imagined it would be SO impressive and so much different from her English repertoire. For me SLMB was the very song that pointed out and proved the class of Céline Dion in French. I still love the music, I love the arrangements, I love the vocals, I love the choir, I love the sounds, I love every single word of the lyrics, I love the pattern of the song, and I absolutely love the story. Tal Posted July 11, 2007 at 09:31 PM Posted July 11, 2007 at 09:31 PM some critics call it the french titanic song. its the same emotion and meaning as MHWGO but only more deeper. thats such a ridiculous comparison. its not the same emotion or meaning at all. mhwgo is about a love that was lost and how love lasts a lifetime. it just so happened to be for a movie concerning a boat, but that song could have easily applied to countless other films where one of the characters die or two lovers are torn apart. SLMB on the other hand, is about classes of people....the rich, and the poor. but that how during some tragic event, at the end of the day it didnt matter what your class or social/economic standing was. everyone was in the same situation...in the same boat. so you have one song about dealing with a loss and a love that will last forever, and the other song is about social classes. for a critic to compare the two is just plain shallow, imo. brasilero Posted July 12, 2007 at 05:34 AM Posted July 12, 2007 at 05:34 AM (edited) Ooh, Sur le même bateau! I still love the music, I love the arrangements, I love the vocals, I love the choir, I love the sounds, I love every single word of the lyrics, I love the pattern of the song, and I absolutely love the story.just say you love everything but i will say i loved Celine made her voice so small and exquisite at the beginning and you hearall the sounds of the ship similar to what i heard in the titanic soundtrack movie. and then her voice goes from small and it gradually builds up into a big thunderous roar. tha's our Celine some critics call it the french titanic song. its the same emotion and meaning as MHWGO but only more deeper. thats such a ridiculous comparison. its not the same emotion or meaning at all. mhwgo is about a love that was lost and how love lasts a lifetime. it just so happened to be for a movie concerning a boat, but that song could have easily applied to countless other films where one of the characters die or two lovers are torn apart. That was a very distinctive element of titanic. They showed how some of the rich treated the poor badly on that ship. Now add the fact all of them going down "in the same boat" (sur le meme bateau), and there you have it. BTW the critics whose reviews i read of SSD album were from french canada. they also said that how co-incidental that SLMB came out just after MHWGO was hitting it big time. In fact the title of the article was JJG's answer to the titanic. Edited July 12, 2007 at 05:42 AM by brasilero Quote

Bell Posted July 15, 2007 at 07:21 AM Posted July 15, 2007 at 07:21 AM It`s a wonderful song, I adore it! As far as I know, it was somehow inspired by MHWGO so I think it`s not so wrong to compare the 2 songs. Anyway, I prefer SLMB. Quote 16 YEARS A FORUM MEMBER
