So hard to accept

that it might have been me.

That you did nothing wrong.

So easy to embrace the anger

in a desparate attempt

to stop the sadness

from engulfing me.

Only to discover

that there is no escape.

It was never you

that hurt me.

Always me hurting me...

so easy to blame you...

so hard to admit

that it's me.
