Deserves Another Chance!

Hello all,

 

My name is Joe, as some of you may know. The question that I am asking in this new thread is what ten (10) songs of Celine's that have never been performed live (or hardly at all) would you like to see added to the tour next year?

 

The reason for which I am asking is because after a few weeks I am going to go through all the posts and create a tally for each song mentioned. I will then figure out which five (5) songs are the leaders. After which I will then create a letter expressing our desire to have these five (5) songs added into the world tour in some form. I will be sending this letter to Rene in Vegas, as well as sending it to the two branches of Feeling located in Canada.

 

I may also consider, after the top five (5) are figured out, asking those who wish to participate to send me a message via PM on CelineChannel or to my e-mail box expressing what those song(s) mean to you. How they have touched your life in one form or another. I will then see if I can put this together in a nice package so that it will get some real attention.

hey that's a good idea. We did something similar with Gloria Estefan's Live and Rewrapped Tour in 2004, the fans got a chance to vote for a song that they wanted to see on the tour and sure enough Gloria added the song that was voted to her set list for the tour.

I'm glad to see "Then You Look At Me," "Cherche encore," "Your Light," and "Just A Little Bit Of Love" have been coming up on a lot of the lists!

 

Keep giving me your lists everybody! I hope we can at least make one of these songs get added to the tour.

 

And as one of the others said it was wonderful that the Conga group was able to get Gloria Estefan's, "I Just Wanna Be Happy," into her tour. Such an upbeat and infectious tune! Check it out!

 

Anyway, back to Celine...Can't you just imagine Celine coming back out from a costume change to sing "Your Light" with that huge, loud, "HEY!!!!!!" in the beginning! Very awesome indeed!

Keep up the voting guys! The list I'm coming up with is QUITE varied! I was surprised to see so much diversity. There are currently some predictable winners, while there are others that are tied or barely making it that I expected to see more votes go towards.

 

I'm going to give everybody until this Saturday to get their votes in. After that I will be going with the final numbers. I'm sorry to give such short notice, but as each day passes it's a day less that Rene could get the letter and show Celine and start working a song or two into the show that wasn't planned.

First, I want to say thank you to everybody who did participate in this thread. It was very interesting seeing some of the choices people made.

 

However, sadly, this brings me to the reason I am posting. Due to lack of interest in this project I have decided to cancel putting together the package. I simply didn't get enough posts. I was hoping to get at least 50 or so different opinions to make the tally be a bit more widespread than it is currently. I may write a letter to Rene at the The Colosseum, after all, but only with my views on some of the songs I wish to see performed. That will probably be about it.

 

Feel free to private message me if you'd like to about my decision regarding this topic.
